Topkart is a sturdy frame, some of the newer frames get punched out in one season. Now I hear they are making super soft frames for really tight tracks that last 6 races. I’d hate to buy a used kart these days. If you’re running good with the Topkart, fix it up and stick with it. I had one for 10 years, just couldn’t kill it lol.

Just a little something you might want to know. If you’re running around a parking lot and in between buildings at racing speeds you can very easily be killed in a kart especially if you and your buddies have been hitting a few beers and aren’t wearing helmets. These things are dangerous.

Just read the ad: Engine mechanical good, no spark. New engine top end rebuild, no hours on rebuild.

It’s Mechanically good it just doesn’t run LOL. No hours on rebuild, no kidding because it doesn’t run LOL.

Says it has new brake pads and bearings, when it looks like the rotor and axle’s been in the ocean for 3 years. Gotta love Craigs list.

You’ll be into it for $1500 real quick before you get an engine package. Also sometimes they have used karts down at Millville.

Check the Nicholson speedway and Oreville web sites sometimes there’s a good deal on there.

Matt I’ve been restoring old karts like that for decades. It’s a hobby for me and I know what’s involved. I can tell you from experience that if he gave you that kart for free it still would not make sense financially. There are much better package deals all around this area and you have all winter to look for a deal. There are only 1-2 people that run LO206 in this area and my advise to you is to shoot for the Yamaha KT100 sportsman class. Give Jimmy Schultz at GrandProducts a call and see what he can set you up with.

It should be a safety rule that the heads must be on the bottom. Anyone with common sense and a conscience will do it that way. No need for anyone to get run over with a cheese grater.

Tracks cost money, I only drive in the walmart parking lot to get that sprint track feel. The cars are so slow they’re easy to dodge and the pedestrian walk has stripes like a start/finish and the people are always cheering and waving their hands. Also, they film the whole parking lot so you look cool on the TV news.

It doesn’t matter where it is or how it’s hanging as long as it doesn’t have a big air bubble in it. Mines hanging just below the carb so I can grab it and hold it so the air gets out.

Why don’t you support shops in your area that support karting and get your Bridgestone YLC straight from the importer GrandProducts in Bensalem PA. It’s a medium compound that’s perfect for LO206.

The trick is to get the axle the same height on both sides and square with the chassis when you put it back in.

Looks like a shoe clutch with a spring and a worn out gear. You need a stronger spring to get a higher rpm engagement.

You don’t need bleed screws, you just need a bolt you can take out that lets the air out.

All you need is the general knowledge of someone who’s mechanically inclined. If you pump kart shop guy for info, make sure you follow guy code and buy something from his shop.

NEVER use gasoline to clean anything unless you’re ready for your hands to catch on fire.

To clean a kart, just wipe it off with a rag.
