That’s what I’m looking for a super light electric kart stand. Got any pics of the early kartlift?

I’ve seen that problem. I grind down the pedal so it’s shorter than the stud so you can tighten the nut and the pedal’s still free. Don’t know why they don’t make the studs longer.

You can run high test from the gas station no problem. You can also use it at a race if you think you will be a back marker and want to save a few bucks.

That kart has a hanger that is very specific to the caliper.

John, I’m almost certain that one won’t fit unless you get a bracket to mount it on the bearing cassette. There is one available. Check Freddys links.

You drank the less deadly of the two coolaids now you may enjoy adjusting your carb without taking it apart and consulting the weather station. However, I can no longer help you my friend because, I am 100cc man.

If you want it to idle screw in the low needle until it idles but when you get on the track it will be lean under load. If you want to run it on the stand with the track setting you have to keep revving it but running on the stand will foul your plug so only run it for a few seconds to prime it for the grid.

Check the link. The bolt holding your steering block you want to keep that as short as possible and keep the head on the left side.

I don’t see the retract springs in any of the pics. How does it hold the pads in place? Yeah, looks like someone stripped the coating when it started to flake then it corroded. That’s major pitting in the bore and on the pistons too. Even if it doesn’t leak fluid it will suck air and need to be bled every track session. What’s the master cylinder look like? I’d at least replace the pivot pins on the lever.

Typical problem in karting. By the time you need a rebuild you can’t get the seals. It would help if you measured the bore size. Looks like the old DAP seals from 1990. If your holes have lost their coating seals won’t help it much.

Just get an LO206 then go around the pits bragging your unbeatable because you drive flat out. Soon you will have many more LO206 trying to run you over.

Don’t forget when you’re done with LO206 it can be converted to an Animal.

P.S. FYI I heard the LO206 class at Sandyhook is all Jrs at this time.

Some of the places I go there’s no pavement between the scales and the grid. Those little wheels would be a real pain to push through the bumps. Why couldn’t you just make the caster mounts step up on each side of the lock bar? Why stainless? that’s got to drive the price through the roof. Can you make one as lite as possible for $200, I’ll paint it myself.

You say you started running high octane gas? that will retard your spark. Did the new builder use the same ignition timing? Don’t ignore getting your pipe cleaned.

Since the engine builder hasn’t been mentioned yet I can say in general the best builder might not do his best for you if you are not one of his golden boys that are out there building his reputation and what makes them the best might just be the best BS.

A new or unknown customer usually gets a safe ignition timing and lots of piston clearance so they don’t stick the piston and blame the builder. If it’s slow the builder can blame many things and back up his engine build with doctored dyno sheets that make outrageous HP claims.

I knew a guy that always talked about his dyno tuning, had dyno sheets on everything. Years later I found out he didn’t even have a dyno.

I had a customer bring me an engine from the best builder around here he scuffed the bore, put in a new ring and called it a total blueprint he’s best because he charges the most. Lot of BS in karting.

Clean the fuel screen and put in a new pumper. Also could be a fouled plug from running rich on the stand.

Basically it’s always BS when someone else thinks of it first LOL. I guaranty there are people secretly trying this on dynos with old animal engines as we speak. I know one engine manufacture that is doing this with 2 strokes using something called Lux drops. Leaving off the air filter and letting huge chunks of random grit in the top end is worlds away from what I’m suggesting. 1200 grit may be too aggressive but there are products that are finer grit and break down faster. After 41 years of kart racing I think I have enough track time, I’m ready for more motor.

That’s allot of money for track time. Why do all that, one treatment to polish it up then flush with the next oil change and the motor’s as free as one that ran all last year only better because it’s polished and the rings seat in better too.
