FREDDY SANDOVALParticipant
From what I understand RR setup is different, chassis has to be tighter or it will be very lose on the corners, and you’ll be fighting that the whole time.
Sprint set up you have to free up the kart to get it to glide through the corners
I don’t understand about steel bumper? Unless you’re talking about the rear bumper, I’m not a big fan of metal bumpers on the rear, I like plastic bumpers better, and they do have brackets for those to fit your Margay Kart.
You wanna tighten up the bumper for RR, and loosen it up for Sprint racing.
I don’t know what the specs are for your chassis for front track or for rear track, you may wanna ask the guys you run with at the track, but it is also different from RR to Sprint. My 2 cents.
FREDDY SANDOVALParticipantJeremy, Morgan has a good point
You may also wanna try Fastenal, I have shipped many karts with them, it only costs about $150 for the whole thing, including engine and your box of parts, as long as it fits inside your crate, or seat of the kart.
They’ll drop it off at the nearest Fastenal store where your buyer lives.

BIG TIRE GIVEAWAY! #67722FREDDY SANDOVALParticipantAlright, Sebastian, looks like us Bakersfield boys are gonna accept your invitation. I’m talking to my Son about it, and he wants to go, as he didn’t do too well at the Cal state Championship last weekend.
I think Tyler Coffman and Indy Sandoval are going
What the minimum weight? 360?
FREDDY SANDOVALParticipantRod
If I’m not mistaken Ital Karts and Intrepid share a few parts, so the floor pan should be the same.
Unless you’re sold on just having the original factory pan with graphics and all
FREDDY SANDOVALParticipantRod
Contact Fastec, they may be able to order you one

Or Acceleration http://www.accelerationkarting.com/
Or Italian Motors http://italianmotors.com/
FREDDY SANDOVALParticipantSold, please delete.
FREDDY SANDOVALParticipantHi, Tony!
That looks like a smoken deal
Man! I would love to have one of those Comp Karts so badly though!
But I think I have to be cool enough to have one first Lol.
Hey, buddy I saw you at the track last weekend, I really wanted to stop by and say hi, but I was so busy wrenching for 2 guys, and time just ran out. But I saw you playing foot ball with your boys at the end of the day. It was nice to see you, bud.
I’ll ask my buddies and see if anyone wants that FA cadet kart

FREDDY SANDOVALParticipantSebastian
We have a nearly new one, let me know if you still need it
We’re gonna be down there for the Cal State Championship this weekend, but I will not load it up unless you want it.
Please let me know, Thanks.
FREDDY SANDOVALParticipantStephen
I think I may have about 50 lbs
I will be driving through Corona on Thursday evening, or I can meet you at Cal Speedway? We will be down there for the Cal State Championship race this weekend.
FREDDY SANDOVALParticipantThose are old school tools, but you can still use them
I honestly couldn’t tell you how to adjust the caster, or the camber, but the toe should be pretty straight forward.
Every kart is different, and most new karts are based on a metric format, and the toe varies from 1 to 2 mm. You can probably set up the discs once you know your camber and caster is right where you want it, then take a measuring tape and compare front and back of discs, and depending on the chassis you can space about 1/16″ toed out in front ( reason for this is once you set the kart on the ground and you get on it, it will go toe in)
What year and manufacturer is your kart? It would make it easier for us what to recommend once we know what kart you have, understanding the tubing size and how soft or hard the chassis is.

FREDDY SANDOVALParticipantThank you, Ty
That’s what I was thinking, thank you for your input and your help.
I will let him know.
FREDDY SANDOVALParticipantWow! 70 Views, almost a whole week, several guys running shifter karts and no one can answer my question?
Please shine some light this way you guys. Lol
FREDDY SANDOVALParticipantIf you drained the fuel out of it, then you need to gravity bleed fuel till there is no air in the fuel line going to the carb.
Once you have no air in the line hold the throttle open while cranking the engine, that sucker will start.
Easiest way to get it started, turn the “T” handle (low needle) almost 1/2 a turn close and then quickly open it up to 1 1/2 turns once it starts. That should work, especially when you already have good compression, good spark, and a good spark plug.
FREDDY SANDOVALParticipantI don’t know why it doesn’t have adjusters at the bottom, but if I’m correct “N” Neutral position on those is Arrow pointing forward, and counting 5 holes on any direction, left or right.
What year and model is this Tony Kart?
FREDDY SANDOVALParticipantAwesome that you got it back!!!!!!!
Sucks that got stolen, and got it back rusty and dirty and no Mychron
But happy ending, I hate thieves, liyers and cheaters
Anyhow, glad you got it back, Mate.

Honestly this is a very old set up, you may be able to find a used one somewhere, I used to have a Sodi Kart, shifter kart that had that exact system, and yes, you’re right it was also utilized on Trackmagic karts.
Here’s a link to that old caliper system. Hope that helps, I honestly would recommend just buying a new more modern caliper and bracket system.

And here’s a lager one
http://www.fastech-racing.com/brembo-20.6950.10-rear-caliper.html
I think I only kept the front calipers and lines when I sold that Sodi kart.
FREDDY SANDOVALParticipantSebastian, I sent you a PM
FREDDY SANDOVALParticipantThomas
If it’s cracked or broken off at the mounting bracket, Walt is right any welding shop will do, or take it to your local kart shop, or an automotive repair facility with a welder.
They can mount the caliper and the bolts and make sure they all lign up before they weld to make sure it’s all straight.
I would recommend the nearest kart shop in your area, but I can’t see where you’re from at your profile. Good luck.
FREDDY SANDOVALParticipantJim
Why was the chassis repainted, when it’s a 2015 and only has 6 races plus 4 66 races on?
Was it wrecked and repaired? Was it just repainted? or powdercoated?
I can understand some rock chips on the frame rails, but you have new plastics, and no graphics.
I’m interested in the chassis, but a little more info would be great. Thanks.
