Lower float level in carb.. change fuel filter…pressurize suction line for leaks…if external fuel pump, change the pump diaphram

Fast Freddy, we need more fun like this to keep ourselves invigorated. I took a quick stab at the hp increase and came up with .25 hp. Thanks for the response tovarich.

Billy, I have an expensive floor model Sunnen Hone with loads of smaller mandrels but nothing big enough to do Briggs World Formula. I ‘ve found those flex drill driven hones to be less accurate with bore roundness. These floor models get the bore perfect for me. just my take on it

Giff, did you find lowering the cylinder .030 below legal to be more beneficial because the cans rev lower? thanks

Chad, that number is a little high. To be safe, check your squish that it is at least .025. Maybe the rebuilder dropped the jug with not enough gaskets, the gage is off, cut the jug top a tad, and do a cc test to see if it’s 11cc if you want to run legal.

Do you go to an axle change as a last resort when everything else fails to work? In other words axle choice isn’t a first choice for handling? thanks

I wonder where they get those 30 hp readings from for the x30’s they advertise. I think Fast Freddy might be behind it!

      Tee,

with your connections can you ask around what the x30’s are putting out for hp on the dynos? My  dyno says 27.3 hp for my x30 and it runs about equal to others with the same engine. I know this is  the wrong forum for this topic, but with yer star power maybe I wont get chastised for it !   thanks    and chi wa wa

Tee Jayer, as your first choice for more turn in, do you widen the front end, give it  more caster, or give it more ackerman please? thanks

TJ, I think if the rear cones it’s because the axle is too soft, seat too low, rear too wide, or too soft in the rear preventing the kart from rotating over enough to the outside of the rear tires, correct? thanks

Fast Freddy, we might have to charge you an entrance fee to this topic! tee hee

Yeppers, my take is the kart isn’t rotating enough. Raise seat, more castor,or my positive camber?
