    Thanks for that Robert.
I should have updates later. Mike & I will be heading that way shortly.

Unfortunately Mike has taken a turn for the worse. He has pneumonia and is not breathing on his own. They have induced a coma so that he will hopefully relax and begin healing.
He is in Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center in Topeka, but of course, being in ICU he can have no visitors.
    Debbie hasn’t left since Sunday.
Bernie, Pierce and Cheryl went to see Debbie today and Mike & I plan to go tomorrow. Will keep you posted. I know everyone is concerned, but Cheryl said Debbie’s phone was ringing constantly with people from business and their big family, and of course, us racers.
Prayers are the important thing right now.
And Mike is tough, and in good shape to help with the fight.

WONDERFUL! If someone had told me the weather would be a high of 82 degrees in Topeka the 2nd weekend in August, I would have said to them “It will never happen!” What do I know! One of the prettiest racing weekends in a long time.
WONDERFUL! Track repaving. Everyone appreciated the opportunity to race on such a great surface, and of course, Heartland Park Topeka is a fun course. We had a great turn-out. Thanks to all who attended this KART MARRS’ event. And that front straight-away once again made for some really exciting finishes at the line.
And thanks to Jim E., Maysha, Shelby, Chris, Roger, James. Everyone involved in putting this event on for us.

Here’s the # I have for Brian Wilhelm: (479) 871-7046. Also a number for Lenora Wallen, who may have something like that around: (816) 779-6102.

Just 4 weeks and 3 weekends. Get to work.
    See you there.

Well, nothing about this event disappointed. It was HOT and so was the racing. Weren’t we lucky to be blessed with a few dark clouds Sunday afternoon? They just didn’t stick around quite long enough.
That LO 206 class is really getting exciting. Glad to have so many come up from TX to race it, and other classes too.
Thanks to all who work to put this event on, both from KART MARRS and Hallett staff.
Heartland Park Topeka Aug. 12 & 13 is the next KART MARRS’ event. Hope everyone is as escited about the new paving as we are. See ya there.

Fun event this weekend. Several new faces.

Thanks to the Norman family and all of their helpers for once again putting this KART MARRS’ event on for us. Everytime I saw Brian Norman he was working his butt off, mowing, pre-teching, flagging. If it needed doing, he was doing it.

Once again @ Garnett, there were people that Mike teched who had purchased BP premium that is advertised as non-ethanol. It’s not and they are paying around 50 cents extra a gallon for this illegal (by our standards) fuel. QUIT BUYING YOUR NON-ETHANOL FUEL @ BP! Virtually everyone that has failed the non-ethanol gas test has purchased it @ BP. A number of the newer QuikTrips have added a non-ethanol pump in the KC area and been told the Wichita QuikTrips have them too, and in the KC area, the HyVees have a non-ethanol premium.

    See you @ Hallett July 15 & 16.

Another season is underway. Great to be back at the track.

    Was it WINDY? Oh my.

Thanks to Bryan Norman and the Norman family, and Happy Days BBQ. Were those nachos out of this world.

As a FYI, Mike tested at least two peoples’ fuel purchased from BP that said Premium unleaded no-ethanol, but it was illegal. He also knew of someone that had a problem with BP fuel last year so we sure won’t be buying our fuel at BP and recommend you don’t either. He says if you go online and Google no-ethanol gas stations you can find stations in your area, but BP will probably be the first one to pop up, and DON’T TRUST IT. And if you have any questions, get your fuel checked before the race.

    See ya @ Afton.

Great to see everyone @ the 2016 RUSSELL KARTING KART MARRS Banquet last night. Andy B’s in Tulsa is a really neat facility and the food was excellent. Thanks to Tom, James and Maysha for putting it all together so the rest of us could enjoy.

After all the bench racing, it’s now time for the 2017 season. Garnett is barely over a month away.

With HPT on the schedule, that 2nd Garnett date comes off. Don’t know why that hasn’t been changed on the website yet.

As for April, it is my understanding the guys south of the Red River were hoping to get something going down there so MARRS was keeping that date open but looking less likely all the time. Either Jim E. or Austin may have more info re: that.

They called Jim E. earlier this year and asked what we needed to be able to race there and he told them it was fine as was, but the sporty-car guys (lol) had indicated to them they thought it was rough.

We’re just hoping we can afford it! That will take some figuring.

It’s in the books, and what a fun event. Thanks to all, participants and workers, etc. Gorgeous weather, great food Saturday night. Can’t say enough. Oh, yeah, huge turnout. It may be a record for a KART Enduro National Championships. Gotta love those guys from south of the Red River.

Why can’t we just support the company that is willing to do it instead of worrying about giving them extra competition? Horstman had a great product before and the only thing SMC did was make it so neither could profit from the enterprise!

Lake Afton is again in the books, and what an event it was. NEVER have we seen so much rain (thank goodness that was on Friday night). Then on to a glorious weekend of blue skies and racing!

Thanks again to the Read family and all that help them with this event. Know it was even more trying with the rain during the week before while trying to put the hay out, etc. and then Friday night. But because we have the huge pit area, while some people had to adjust from where they might usually pit because of mud, no one that I know of got stuck, and believe me, we have been stuck before. And by practice time, the track was in great shape.

Good turnout and great racing. Made for a warm up to the KART Enduro National Championships @ Hallett Motor Racing Circuit Oct. 7 – 8. That’s a little less than a month from now. Hope to see you all there.

Another KART MARRS’ event is on the books.

A huge thanks to Bryan Norman and the Norman family for putting on this event for us. And when I say “Norman family” that includes sisters, cousins, brother-in-laws, etc. One thing about the Normans is that when one of them takes something on, it is a collaboration.  THANKS SO MUCH.

Great weather, and the numbers were up from last time. New faces, and old (some older than others). Good times.

    See everyone @ Lake Afton Sept. 10th & 11th.

Getting anxious. Since we had to miss MPH (Mike’s much better), it’s been a while for us. See everyone there.
