Make it fit!!!  Not sure which CR pipe you’re talking about, but some of them have an adapter sleeve that goes into the jug, so all you would need is some kind of adapter…

    No biggy…

The right sized CO2 cylinder should last a whole race.. or even some of these small Lipo batteries wouldn’t add much weight or drag on the axle…

Generally speaking there’s two flavors of metric banjo bolts on these karts, fine and course…

Most likely it’s a 10mm by 1mm, which is fine.

Most European motorcycles (Ducati) use the fine, most Japanese bikes use the course…

I looked into it years ago, they wanted a roll cage so like Jim said it’s a no go for karts.

The classification was up to 250cc from what I remember for 4 wheels, so I don’t believe any record exist for 125’s…

Somebody did do a 250 kart from what I remember, probably for bragging rights….

There’s a couple of airports land speed tracks around, they might have different rules…

    Good luck!!!

Robert, “allowed” would imply that they have made an exception, they have not.  If you can run with them, and nobody says anything, god bless you, but if somebody speaks up, there’s nothing to stand on other than, “they have run before”.  That’s pretty thin…

What should happen is that either WKA creates a sub class and puts the twins in there, and that’s where the Gas Gas belongs, or they both get moved to a local option class….

There’s no way you can put a Gas Gas motor against the best CR250’s….

“Allowed”  is a strong word.   Nobody has protested it, might be more accurate…

That is odd including twins with a reference to another organization…  Honestly doesn’t make sense especially at Daytona….

There is no reference to Gas Gas motors being approved, and the spirit and intent is to use OEM cranks, cases, gearbox and cylinders…

With a sprag on it, you can spin the rear wheels till your hearts content and it won’t spin the motor.  If you plan on starting it off the rear wheels, then they made a version that locked up the hub by pushing a button.  Once started it’s spring loaded and pops out, back to a one way sprag….

Make sure you get the one that has a push start button…

Number 40 and 428 chain are NOT the same, I believe the roller is larger on the 428….

Nobody custom makes counter shaft gears, Sidewinder uses somebody else counter shaft sprockets I believe…

Best bet like Brian said, cut up some stock sprockets and buy some CR125 428’s and have them welded up…

I do them here all the time…

This is one I did for a dyno project…

At the inception of the Stock Honda class, there were several pipes that were legal….  The RLV, RCE, and I believe a High Tech and McMillan…

The RCE quickly became the pipe to have, and I’m sure Mr RLV wasn’t happy with that, and either he had the R4 added, or somebody else did to compete the RCE.  That was a good thing, because shortly after RCE went tits up!!!

It’s really not a “spec” series, because they are not sealed motors, and some different parts are allowed in some areas, pipes and fuel systems being some of them…  I think that’s one the keys to it’s success, they are not exactly cookie cutter motors, a little different here and there, enough to keep everything interesting…

    Just my $0.02….
