Spin the tires off a standing start?!

Shouldn’t the battery box fit exactly where the old one did?

Oh dang, didn’t realize you have to have GPS, but it makes sense now. Oh well!

Had no idea about this, but it’s now enabled on my Mychron, we’ll see how it goes Saturday.

Does anyone know if the photographer has a website/email/phone #? I didn’t get the opportunity to look at the pictures other than what was scrolling on the monitors, but would be interested in seeing what he’s got. Thanks!

Heading to a specialty fastener store today to hopefully find a stand-in. I’m not opposed to having a long 3/16ish (I think that’s the diameter) bolt drilled to have a safety pin catch at the end, as long as it fits the fail safe barrel that sits between the pads.

Correct me if I’m wrong but I believe it’s a M5 thread bolt, I’m just not sure of length.

I for one have had no problems. I had a slight low-rpm bog, but once I installed the power valve update kit, much better. I’ve ran multiple club races, and just ran a 3-day road race enduro with no engine issues whatsoever.

I’ll consider myself lucky, two races so far and not a problem with my kit…

Installed the PV update and WOW, night and day. Dropped .2-.3 out of the gate.

Awesome! I’ve had a low-speed bog that wasn’t solved by adjusting the air screw, so I’ll slap this thing on and hope it works at my race this weekend as well.

Had mine off charger for a couple days before yesterday’s race, no charging at the track was needed.

Sorry, yes the classifieds, I’ll go dig around for the unsubscribe
EDIT: Found it, thanks Dave!

Pardon my ignorance; is replacing a bearing as simple as loosening the cassette and removing the beating inside, then replacing with a new one and tightening down?
-
June 18, 2015 at 3:36 pm #50095Matt ClarkParticipant
:) I’ll be running Rotax, so gearing and getting used to an extra 30-40 lbs are two things I’ll be dealing with for sure!
Thanks Ric and Kelly, I’ll shoot you guys a text this weekend once things aren’t as crazy.

How much for 20lb of lead shipped to 78249?

Just got called to order my kit today…fingers and toes crossed the delay was due to them sorting out these issues :(

I thoroughly enjoyed the show, and will be tuning in next season. I feel like the producers had a great mix of characters, from budget racers to guys pitting out of car haulers, clean drivers to those who will do whatever it takes to win.

I have the one with shocks, so I’m not sure I want to stress those.
-
March 23, 2015 at 11:14 am #44650Matt ClarkParticipant
Thanks Tim. No need for me to tempt fate, I’ll go the safer route and either put the kart on the trailer ground or up on some 2×4’s. Love the stand!
-
March 22, 2015 at 8:58 pm #44595Matt ClarkParticipant
Michael, do you have the 2x4s mounted across the width of the trailer? I’ll have to take a look. I bought Eugene’s trailer which doesn’t have any paneling inside, so I’m thinking I’m going to put the kart on the floor of the trailer and strap it front and back for the time being until I figure out a better solution.
-
March 22, 2015 at 12:57 pm #44574Matt ClarkParticipant
I think that’s exactly why the include people working out of their own small trailer, tuning their own kart, with just the family as the pit crew. It’s not just people “writing checks” as the Bromante guy said, and it was admittedly funny to see the elder Tavela struggle with simple things even I, in just a few years of karting, know how to do when they are running at the pointy end of the grid at a national level.
