- There are a few places in Montreal for the amsoil.
- A good on is in Terrebonne off the 640.
- A great price if you get a case of 12.
- You can look them up

You can loosen up the bolts just enough to get a small screwdriver in and spray it with brake clean to remove any oil and the use your finger to push in some yellow gasket sealer. Its a one time shot as its a pain to remove. Be careful not to damage the gasket with the screwdriver. RTV sealer will blow back out after a few runs.
I think the reason for the gasket failure is ring blow by on the piston.
you have two ways to solve this the cheap and easy way is to drill a few more larger holes in your oil catch can so the gasses can exit. or pull the cylinder off and hone and re ring it.

Thats what i was getting at with the LO206.
I know what you are talking about with electronic or fuel type rev limiters
but this is in the 206 forum so this was my answer.
I also thought Walt was fishing as he has most answers at hand.

think of it this way the more revs the faster you will be going.
so faster down the straight = lower lap times!

They are easy to rebuild your self and most parts are easy to find.
most Tag starters are the same and use the same rebuild parts.

Found out when I removed the exhaust pipe to look for crackes the it was the gasket that had failed.
but still have a miss or stumble off some corners some times not every time.

Thanks as I thought it was at first but bolts are tight but I will change out gasket. I see no evidence of any leak but I will try again to see if there are any leaks.
Thanks again

Thanks much but I found my local amsoil dealer has the same oil as the 4T but as stated he can not carry the 4t. I can not get to my trailer at the moment to tell you the amsoil PN that is available here in Canada.
So far he has kept it in stock I will post it asap.

Thanks Bob but did it start and run fine with a external starter.
It might be that as it is older but just happened after I changed the clutch
My clutch lasted 5 years until one arm broke..
Thanks and let me know if yours went the same..

Thanks Oscar.
It is not the plug I have tried new ones.
It will seem like it is the starter or low battery and try to turn over and pop through the exhaust and other times it will turn over fine but not fire,
I have cleaned all contacts and ran jumper ground cables from the battery ground to the starter housing and cylinder head with the same results.
When I start with the external Coleman it starts fine..
Thanks for any help.

October 21, 2013 at 1:32 pm #13296Marty TroupParticipant
Thanks Tony but the compression is great and still run strong I think it is something in the box when you pull power to the starter it fails the spark circuit..
-
October 20, 2013 at 10:02 am #13216Marty TroupParticipant
Well not sure what or why but using the external starter it works fine.
It starts up great but when using the push button it will not start even when it turns over fine..?????
I changed the brushes and bearings but still the same..
I have a new starter box coming but the season is ending here so I will try it on this oneas the box is for my other leopard..
Thanks for the help just still unclear why it came up with this new problem..

Sorry Josh I have been busy and there is still too much snow to try anything
but I have the new starter box with the wiring so I will try just the box first and if it still
has the trouble I will change the wiring.
It starts fine with the external starter and seems to run great. I rebuilt the starter and re grounded everything with no help.
It is not the motor just in the wiring.
I will update when the snow melts and one of my tracks opens.
