FAT Racing driver and FAT Karting League (FKL) alumnus Jackson Wolny secured his first Rookie podium in the Wera Tools F4 British Championship certified by FIA, at Donington Park GP today. The result marks the first British F4 rookie podium for both Jackson and FAT Racing.

The breakthrough is a major achievement for the team and a defining milestone for FAT Karting League, reinforcing its mission to democratise motorsport by creating a more accessible pathway for talented drivers to progress from grassroots racing into single-seater competition.

Just one year ago, Jackson was racing at his local FAT Karting League in the Midwest, United States, where he qualified for the 2025 FKL World Finals. He finished third in his category at the World Finals before being selected as a wildcard for the F4 Shootout, completing six days of comprehensive assessment alongside three other finalists. He emerged as the winner, becoming FAT Racing’s inaugural British F4 driver and earning a fully funded seat for the 2026 season.

Less than a year after finishing third at the FKL World Finals, Jackson has now repeated that result on the British F4 rookie podium. His performance at Donington Park demonstrates the potential of the FKL driver pathway, taking talent from accessible local competition to the podium of one of the world’s leading junior single-seater championships.

For FAT Racing and FAT Karting League, the result is more than a sporting achievement. It is proof that a new, merit-based route into professional motorsport can deliver on the international stage.

And next season, he will not be racing alone.

FAT Karting League and FAT Racing are delighted to confirm that a second FKL driver will join Jackson in 2027, with the next driver set to emerge from the 2026 FAT Karting League World Finals in California this December. From one FKL graduate to two, the announcement represents the next major step for the championship and the accessible driver pathway it is building.

Jackson’s podium is proof of what is possible. In 2027, another FKL driver will have the opportunity to follow.
