Larry DobbsParticipant
Name brand hotels in Willows are all what you would expect. No hidden gems that I know of.
Larry DobbsParticipantWhat a track! Flat out thru turn 9 in a 250 takes nerve! It took me all weekend to finally do it. 1:26 was the fast lap by Anthony Williams with Dave Fultz in 2nd. Big Thank You to Anthony for my motor work! Roadracers are the nicest people. Competitors helping each other. Jan’s Kitchen (Dean Darwin’s wife) was open to the boys and she was so happy to have us. Dean and Dean and Mark and Mark had mechanical failures. Jim and Dan’s new kart is gorgeous as we have all come to expect from Ian Harrison’s Viper Racing. Thanks to Richard the electric kart dude for dinner Saturday night as the BBQ for the whole club was delicious and appreciated.

Larry DobbsParticipant4 days and we will be racing! Get you entries in now! We are running on a tight schedule so be prepared and get to the grid on time. Dave M. can not attend so we will be gridding ourselves. Early start (8am driver’s meeting) means no time for registration at the track so get registered now!
Larry DobbsParticipant4 days until the race. Get registered now! Over 70 entries promises to be a great race. Schedule will be tight so be prepared and on the grid for your group. Electric karts are bad to the bone – check them out!
If you have questions get them answered now because things will be hectic on race day. Remember, preparation is 95% of racing!
Larry DobbsParticipantHi Ian, Northern California Superkarters are excited about Jim Long’s new kart. What does it have and do you have any pictures? Some of us are due for a new kart too. Thanks!

Larry DobbsParticipantI go as lo as 10lbs in my superkart and have done so in stock moto as well but you may not drive the same way I do.
Larry DobbsParticipantWe have a group of guys racing the 80 class and recently it has grown, I believe because of the economy.
Larry DobbsParticipantHi Jack,
You can use the same tire pressure if you are using the tire manufacturer’s recommendations. Some people run higher pressures for lower rolling resistance but the lap time is all that matters.
Larry DobbsParticipantThanks Ray, Laguna is one of the best!
John, we are a nonprofit and only charge what we need to. As for the 92 db limit, NCK has turned hundreds of laps already within the limit so if you want to become a member of our club and race at any or all of our events this year you are welcome to ask any of our members that run the same class that you would like to run in and we will get you in under the limit, after all it is the same for everyone. As for the price of admission, I know that some folks have not been able to afford to go racing with us, and I hope that whatever is keeping them from joining us can be solved. If we had more participants we could lower the entry fee. It’s a “catch 22”. You are eligible for first time racer with NCK since it has been so long since you have raced with us, but I hope you can join us some time this year. It will be good to see you and Deb so we can catch-up!
Jason, the weather is expected to be a sunny 70 and if you are wanting to go racing then NCK is the place, but try to stay on the track(jk)!!
Larry DobbsParticipantWell done! Really enjoy these videos Joe! Weather will be 68 and sunny for our January 24th race. Come on down see what all the fuss is about karters; we even have electric karts racing with us now! I bet you want to check that out?!
Larry DobbsParticipantAre you kidding me?! We got folks coming from WA, OR, AZ, NV and the weather is going to be perfect for making horsepower! What a great way to start the racing season out.

Well done Roger, Mark, Jim and all the hard working folks who put on a fantastic event. Congrats to Rhonda who was presented the coveted Jeff Edwards award. Todd you are a lucky man!
Larry DobbsParticipantOk racers the rain is parting for our race day! Cold air means maximum horsepower! Let’s get out there and forget everything else and enjoy the purest form of motor racing, Karts ;)
Larry DobbsParticipantLooking forward to racing this Saturday. So what if the weather might not cooperate! I have raced here rain and shine and it is a blast either way!
