LaCont or MG yellows will work well for you. The La Cont tires seem to last longer. On a Tag kart they never feel like they completely come in but I get same times with each tire.

Gearing cant help you. 16t driver then anywhere from 72-80 maybe. I run a Rotax.

Why is Tag heavy with 250 karts? I was thinking about coming out from Chicago. But I’m not going to race on a track with karts that can run 40 mph faster. You wont even know they are coming up on you. 40 plus entries in that class. Let them have the track to themselves for that race.
Why not put Tag Heavy in race 6?

Ill keep the front brakes on in Tag when Im Road racing. Doesn’t matter what series or whatever. Any new chassis I buy, will always have front brakes. I finish 99% of my races and not much ever fails, BUT IF IT DOES. I want them on.

Ive lost friends and others had flight for life lift them away not knowing if they are going to make it. For me to stay in the sport of road racing. It was/is a no brainer! The xtra $1000 when you purchase it from the start is nothing if you don’t make it home.

    Josh,

I’ve been using a Moto-GPX for years. Its fine for karting for comfort. No one has ever even looked at it during safety tech at any race I’ve entered. Don’t think it would be an issue.

Depends what track you are running. I would contact the track you plan on running at. They should be able to give you a base set-up. Most sprint tracks you will need a 11T-13T drive gear.

If your on a tight budget. Rotax may not be your best choice.. That great deal will cost $1000 plus for a rebuild. I own a Rotax and love it. Im just speaking from the truth.

You should look into a different class. Maybe Briggs 206 or KT 100. Karting cost money and you often have to chase down problems, parts, new tires, race fuel, cost to get to track, cost to enter race, ect. It never ends the costs!!!

If you want to stay in karting at an affordable price. Tag/Rotax class isn’t the way to go.

What we need to see is a dyno run on that graph above with the upgrades. That’s the one I want to see. If an older engine(2009 or newer) with upgrades is equal to the Evo. Otherwise all of our engines are toast!

I just purchased an AGV Grid Helmet. Its not Snell rated. Its a DOT and ECE-2205(Euro rated) certified helmet. Can anyone let me know if I can use this helmet in WKA? CES will let me use it. Its a new helmet.

James your wrong. Jet Tech is John. MaxJet has been out of business and causing these same questions for a couple years now. People sell Maxjet units on ebay and people have no way of turning them on without locking the code. They are nothing but a paper weight now

    http://www.prospeedkartsports.com/bodycopy_maxjet.html
I would contact these guys and see if they can help you. It looks like they are still trying to sell them. Not sure how without locking code. If you find out please let me know. I have one sitting in the tool box as i wont try and scam a fellow racer into paper weight….

    Thats great info Robert.
But every series may have there own take on the rules. Club racing 99% of the time wont require you to have all the updates.
Plus most club series will say they follow Rotax rules. But the true fact is at club level they want entries and wont be anal cause you have an older cylinder and other non updated parts.
Tony has it right check with your local track your racing at and see what they say.

The person shipping its his fault in my opinion. I order lots of parts and sell lots of parts. About 50% of the time I recieve packages. I see a person that spent 30 seconds to pack and another minute to secure with tape. The box is barely in one piece cause of shipper not taking an extra 5 minutes to tape the box up.
In the case of front brake parts, heavy with sharp edges to break open easily. You tape the shit out of the box so it doesnt open, very simple. Problem is people are do damn lazy to do the right thing!!!
Its not the post office fault the idiot doesnt package it well for shipping!
