Dont know if this will help but I have a k9 144 massively ported and it runs alot like a honda as far as low end torque is fun to drive. But it seems somewhat down on top end power I believe that to 30 mm carb doesnt flow enough also was running a b pipe kz10 pipe may have helped that. but because isnt legal I didnt mess with it much. May get rid of it cheap if your interested. it has to have a special head also for it which I have also. Thanks

Well those are pretty much stock from the factory and are fine what you will be learning with. most use a 60 outer idle. Now for your answer some people use a smaller needle an seat to reduce the amount of fuel it can flow therefor you can get away with not running a return line. I dont use this. Others do. Slide is like the accelerator pump in a carb it controls the air flow over the carb nozzle a 40 as used in a rotax pulls more fuel when throttle is opened. under certain condittions hot an humid I may use a 55 slide on a tm but rarely a 60 reason being as there are different nozzels that also effect fuel flow. I believe 9mm is stock down to 5mm the shorter the leaner that is why I stated to go with a simple setup and work with that as you can get in over your head an it gets expensive. Hope this answered some of your questions.

No i never foul a plug. you have to be carefull when compairing jets as there are many places to richen an lean out on this carb you can go goofy trying to make a best setup for the day. way to many variables.  we could talk slides an nozzels an really get you confused.  lol. also icc engines are not the same a pavesi uses less fuel than a tm, an a modena use a tad more fuel than the tm so best to do your homework.

You are correct in assuming the tighter the clearance the more fuel you have to run. Yes they are meant to run on pump  gas but purity an consistancy are a problem plus the lead in the race gas acts as a lube. So by using race gas you know where you are everytime. Myself we use amsoil dominator when that isn`t allowed I use some sort of castor and I use alot compaired to others 8 0z  a gallon, does smoke alot after warm up but that keeps the rod happy and on a 20 mm bearing basically the same as a kt100 it is a weak point.

I use a similar set up as tom barths how ever the 130 main can be lean a 135 will handle everything up to a cooler road course. If warm an humid where you are the 132 to 130 will do but the above is bullet proof. There are more things to consider when jetting also how tight is the piston clearance. Hope this helps

You think you pay alot for carb work wait till you have to have someone program you ecu. Mapping would have to be sealed an would be hard to enforce. To get people involved in the sport we have to keep costs down. There are all sorts of things that could update our karts but isn`t needed. Not a fan of the L 206 but is going in the right direction imagine if you had to pay for F I? Just my thought

I have one with very little use I am older and dont race was wondering what you are looking to spend? This kart has the mag option but steel brakes. Not a mark on the original white bodywork. Does have some scrapes on bottom rails. Has had snipers added to it. What are you looking to spend? Curious as dont really want to sell but it deserves to do  laps. Let me know e mail kart777@aol.com

I would try to make it as loose as possible an still drive it see if that helps if it does your probably binding and if a lower horsepower engine it will kill your lap times but still feel pretty well

If it is the same as the brembos on brm karts they are the same seals used on a crg master and many others

good question never tryed to switch them . I believe the c is different than the b but may work someone may have done this and can advise, you can use the shorter intakes available to make better top end

The kz10c head is a 2 piece unit with a copper gasket sandwiched in between. Havent tryed to put an old head on a new c may work not sure. Do not see much difference between  the b or c cylinders, the c costs a couple of bucks more.

I wouldn`t worry about ignition, if the insert got damaged you can just replaced the insert. up to the kz10c the inserts are interchangeable, the c is all different. a kz10b pipe or c is fine the c seems to have a little more off the corner and the b pulls a little stronger at the end. For what ever reason have had a couple of clips break over the years have also had piston cracks so is not a bad idea to check those on occasion. Hope this helps.

As far as i know the ignition is basically the same have not tryed to watch the curve so not sure but wouldn`t be to worried about it.
