While shifterkart racing is at the heart of Superkarts! USA’s culture and DNA, the action every year in the Pro X30 – or the TaG Senior division as it started in 2003 – continues to provide the thrill and excitement that brings the entire paddock to the fence line and grandstands. Over the first 22 editions of the class at the SuperNationals, there have been 22 different winners. Ten different countries have been represented on the top step, with a US driver winning only seven times. The closest finish in history came back in 2010, and there have been four different occasions that a penalty decided which driver would take home the big trophy on SuperSunday.
The 2025 version of Pro X30 featured just that, with one driver taking the checkered flag and another celebrating the victory with the trophy sitting next to them on the plane ride home. 2024 winner Joe Turney (MPG / Kart Republic) was the driver to take the double checkered flags last November, only to have it taken away for a penalty. This promoted fellow Brit Gus Lawrence (RPG / Kosmic) to take the top honor in his first SuperNationals start. Turney comes in after securing a second SKUSA Pro Tour championship in 2026, while Lawrence – the current EKN TaG Driver Rankings #1 – was second in the point standings for his first full season in the USA.

Both Turney and Lawrence have the opportunity to become the first two-time winner in the category, along with 2021 SuperNationals winner Ryan Norberg. The six-time SKUSA Pro Tour champion ran a partial schedule in 2026, having made the move from GFC Karting back to Rolison Performance Group and Kosmic chassis under his Norberg Karting Academy banner. Norberg was 16th in his lone GFC start at the SuperNationals, finishing second the two editions before on an OTK product.
A total of 10 former SuperNationals winners are in the Pro X30 field, two coming from KA100 Senior. Last year’s winner Diego Ramos (PSL / Birelart) and the 2019 class winner Pauly Massimino (BJR / LN Kart) are looking to become only the second driver to win in both categories – the first being Turney in 2024 when he won both on the same SuperSunday.
The list of former winners in the field includes the last three KA100 Junior victors. 2025 winner Noah Baglin (MPG / Kart Republic) was the 2025 FIA Karting OK Junior World Champion and secured the European Championship in OK this year and he is among the 99 drivers from around the world competing now at the FIA Karting World Championship in La Conca, Italy before heading to Vegas. Sebastian Garzon (Orsolon / Tony Kart) won both the KA100 Junior class and X30 Junior main events in 2024, and the Colombian earned the USF2000 championship in 2026. Garzon finished sixth last year in this class. In 2023, Turner Brown (RPG / Kosmic) became the second driver to win both KA100 Junior and X30 Junior in the same year. Brown was unable to defend those titles, and moved up to the Senior ranks last year, racing only Pro X30 with a 26th place result.

Jackson Gibson (NRC / Gillard) and Michael McGaughy are the final former SuperNationals winners. Gibson took the top spot in Micro Swift back in 2022. The driver from Oregon finished 18th in X30 Junior last year. McGaughy won the Mini Swift the same year, racing in X30 Junior for the first time last year, placing fifth. Both are making their Senior debuts at the SuperNationals. Of the 10 former winners in the field, only Lawrence and Baglin are not racing two categories. Just over half of the 77 drivers in the field are racing two classes, thus having the opportunity to join Turney as a double-win driver in the same event.
There is a long list of drivers seeking to record their career first SuperNationals victory. British driver Caden McQueen (Velocity / Sodi Kart) was two laps away from the top of the podium in his SuperNationals debut. Collin Lloyd (HDD / Tony Kart) and Eli Warren (HDD / Tony Kart) finished in the top-10 after the penalties were finalized. Lloyd was the SKUSA Winter Series champion with Velocity Racing, but found a new home with Hotz Driver Development for the second half of the season.

The top nine drivers from the SKUSA Pro Tour standings are in the field. Turney, Lawrence and Massimino were on the championship podium with Oliver Hodgson (Factory Karts) was just off in fourth. Hodgson – the SKUSA Winter Series champion – closed the season with victory at the SummerNationals, and will be looking to improve on his two DNQ performances in the last two years. Ruben Moya (FDM / Pantano) was third two years ago, but recorded a DNF last year. The Spaniard was fifth in the SKUSA Pro Tour standings. Jake Drew (RPG / Kosmic), Davin Roberts (RPM / Tony Kart) and Blake Nash (Factory / PTK) were among the top drivers in 2026. Drew was last year’s top qualifier, ending up 23rd on SuperSunday while with Formula Works and GFC. Roberts will be making his SuperNats debut in Pro X30, having finished 13th in X30 Junior back in 2024. Nash is one of three drivers under the return of the Paul Tracy Kart brand with Factory Karts, racing both KA100 Senior and Pro X30. Nash was a DNF crash after running at the front in 2025.
That incident a year ago with Nash involved Alessandro de Tullio (RRC / LN Kart). The now Indy NXT driver is making a return to karting during the off-season, coming in with a best finish at the SuperNationals of runner-up back in 2021. Other car drivers returning to their karting roots include USF Pro 2000 driver Frankie Mossman (SCR / CS55), F4 driver Dean Pedersen (AXIS / Redspeed) and Christian Brooks (AXIS / Redspeed), making his first start at the SuperNationals since 2019.

There is a strong crop of Senior rookies in this year’s field. John Antonino (MPG / Kart Republic) has been a top contender throughout the 2026 season, along with Erik Doan (PSL / Birelart), Max Weiland (MPG / Kart Republic) and Juan Paramo (Orsolon / Tony Kart), coming off a solid performance at ROK Vegas.
Other drivers to watch on the week including Harley Keeble (McCrone / Formula K), Keagan Kaminski (FW / GFC), Dalton Hanes (Mach1 Racing), Chase Hand (GFC Karting), Caleb Gafrarar (FDM / Pantano) and Stephen Eisert (SpeedSense / Exprit).
