You will need to check with your local racing association to see if they specify oils to use. We have been happy with Maxima 927 or Burris Castor oil. The following link will take you to our Comer K80 page.
Hope this helps – http://swedetechracing.com/techinfo/?cid=64250

Hello Steve,
Check your pilots for a clogged jet. Check your float heights. Check the internal fuel filter.
Also, before you go on a wild goose chase for jetting, what RPM”s does this problem start to happen?

<span style=”color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, serif; font-size: 12px; line-height: 21px; background-color: #efefef;”>SKUSA also states that the cylinder length (for a 99) should be 3.11-3.16. Where and how exactly is this measurement taken?</span>
My observation in past technical tear downs regarding the cylinder height rule, the tech measures the height of the cylinder in multiple locations using a digital caliper.
Contact SKUSA directly regarding the Head Tech Tool.

Hello Pete,
What fuel are you using?
Double check your silencer and exhaust system for excessive back pressure (broken silencer core, bent exhaust, etc)
Remove fuel filter inside the Dell”Orto carburetor and look for debris.
Look for pinched fuel lines.
If the bog is a distinct “shut off”, then quickly accelerates as you increase throttle, you have a lean condition due to small pilot, to open on the air screw, or clogged jets. If the engine bucks or hops, or is very sluggish (but trying to clear out), the low end jetting is to rich.

Purchase a rulebook from the proper association that governs your racing series. The SKUSA rulebook can be downloaded from their site. http://www.superkartsusa.com/rulebook.html
Per SKUSA rules, Stock moto must use a 1999 intake boot (marked with a KZ4-M), a 1999 reed cage (3 windows per side), and reeds are sort of “open”. The use of a Boyesen style dual stage reed is not permitted.
Before you grab a tool, read the rulebook.
