Your pills shouldn’t be moving as you tighten but I’ve seen some karts where this is sometimes the case. I personally don’t care to use the sniper system vs my regular pills but I think it’s a lot easier for some people.

Karts are welded with a fixed amount of caster that the factory should be able to tell you. Then offset pills are available,sometimes in varying increments, to increase or decrease caster. Typical pull offsets are 1-2*.
Do you have a sniper system on it or something? What kind of kart is it?

The actual number isn’t importanr. Some karts run well with 12* and others run 23*. It’s all relative really.

More specifically I’m saying the manufacturers that focus on the tag and shifter markets aren’t putting in the same effort in their 4cycle product.

Some of it is cheaper brake systems and less magnesium components etc. I really don’t feel most karts on the market are 206 specific as much as the manufacturers threw together a kart with a straight rear bar to take advantage of the fastest growing karting market in North America. I’m very skeptical to think many of these manufacturers even tested their karts with a 206 before they started selling to the public. And the prices are lower because they know cheaper alternatives are out there, not because it actually costs that much less to produce. They are just go karts made of metal. How does one cost as much as 1500 less from the same company just because it has a different brake, axle, and wheels?

Trail braking is not using both pedals at the same time. It is braking as you turn into a corner. Using both pedals is not good driving technique and it causes excessive wear to brakes and clutches. Not to mention building more heat in the engine.

2 seconds off most likely the majority is driving. It’s truly hard toes up a setup to get over one second off if the driver is very good. Cracked frame or brake dragging a really the only possibilities.

All the info given is spot on. Sprint kart are much more flexible than oval karts so the gain more negative camber under load which leads to more toe in. A kart I drove today gained 3mm total when loaded

As a driving instructor rpm does not tell you “everything you need to know.” The speed sensor is unnecessary if you have gps.

I respectfully disagree with most of what Freddy recommended. Tightening the pods and bumper add grip and so do struts. A stiffer axle could help as well. 55 is pretty wide in the rear for that kart. I’d narrow 10mm per side. Reducing caster could certainly help the balance as well.
