Thanks Mark!
Freight would be insane trying to send all these extra parts, parts would be damaged/missing, a nightmare, i’m sure.
Tuner (Philip Davis, a genius w/ Godly hands) rebuilt the fuel pump, cleaned up my wiring, added a 2 more lines from my gas tank that now go to my overflow bottle (the excess fuel had no way to return and had filled up and settled at the bottom of the cases) went through my top end, added oem gaskets to the base jug and head as well as rubber for the exhaust pipe, got my mychron now showing me rpms, as well as the water temp.
I know i’m forgetting some work he performed, but I do have an itemized receipt!
This weekend, and weather permitting, there is a semi abandoned airfield that I may, or may not have access to, that I might pull my kart to. Since he turned me on to this vp12 race fuel.

Certainly won’t engage any disgruntled internet keyboard warriors.
If my short videos offend anyone’s sensibilities, well…
Hey, why not post better interpretations of your own open air motoring experiences, before trying to play someone else’s conscience, yeah?
Let me guess, someone has to play the designated villain here, as with on all message board sites. Next comes the mob mentality with the knifes & pitch forks, no?
Listen, i don’t over value an item, it’s just a kart to me. I do my best to pick semi controlled riding enviorments, i’m no Aryton Senna, neither are you.
Live & let live. There are hundreds of skusa related track crashes & fatalities on youtube as well.
It’s the reason you sign your waiver releasing culpability from the event holders.
You go on an sustain spinal injury trying to be Andretti. I don’t harass you, do I?

Update, just looked over kart and a cdi coil wire became unplugged.
Don’t think I blew my top end after all.

That looks fantastic James!
I’ve seen your video before (beautifully shot there man) and have been to your store front (will get my business in the future).
I’m always inspired by these type of karting videos.
They just seem more realistic to me, than the semi pro drivers hitting 100+ miles down a back straight, or the yahoo (no disrespect) taking a corner at 50-60 mph.

All points duly noted.
It really isn’t any different from the guy or gal purchasing that 1400cc hayabusa or 1000cc R1 sport bike that has zero intention of ever putting it on a track.
He uses it at his own discretion, no?
He can even choose to make it into a stunt bike, really, it’s all in a persons perrrogative.
How many dirt bikes/quads are sold annually to hobbyist, that have no intention of hitting a motorcross track to become the next Jeremy McGrath or James Stewart? Strictly for private usage.
I’m willing to bet, with cash in hand, anyone can go to any of the foremost kart manufacturers and let them know upfront that they have no intention of doing a track day with a potential kart, and they’d still be inclined to get them into the sport.
Personally, I, have no ambition in ever becoming a lewis hamilton or a sebastian vettle.
The kart, for me, is a brief respite or reprieve from the everyday.
I’m not advocating shooting through a neighborhood at wot.
It’s always interesting to see other creative riding aspects or locations.

Didn’t see any representation for those of us that do this type of karting.
Well aware of the inherent dangers, legal/physical.
I’m 41, btw.
This is my 5th month of ownership, and first shifter kart, but have been into motorsports since I was 14 (1987).
I am learning the characteristic (sp?) of the cr 125 engine. I, usually run out of straightaway before the powerband kicks in. Don’t intend to blow my top end before I rebuild her.
Sorry for rambling..

Are you close to Andrews Air Force Base Walt?
I could drive to you if you are :)

What up Tory. (I’m finding these karts to be a money pit too, but that’s a post for another day, huh?)
You’ve already rebuilt the calipers. All new seals, but the pistons are sticking unevenly?
Could the seals have been put in upside down on that particular caliper, or does it even matter how they go in?
I’m new to all this as well, and this is one part on these karts that need to be right.

I appreciate that Clark.
I’m about 2 & 1\2 hours from Summit Point WV, i’m a lot closer to Sandy Hook Speedway, up in Baltimore Md.
I bought this kart just to mess around on back roads (only paid $600.00 for the kart, electric stand and about $2,000.00 worth of extra parts) . Former owner was a 61 year old school teacher that had his fill of the sport. Couldn’t put the money fast enough in his hands, ha.
There is a new development a few miles up the road from me, that has about a quarter mile of straight away, that leads to a cul – de sac. It also has a 3 level parking garage that is empty on the weekends. Only thing that i’m leary about is that there is a police department credit union on the next street. Cops frequent there exclusively and just the noise level from me running through the gears in the drive way gives me pause from taking my kart back there.
I think us karters are dare devils, in a way. So, I know once I get my brakes seals put on and brakes bled, it’s on.
When I had my blata pocket bike, I would warm the tires up on the straight away, then run up and down the 3 level parking garage. That bike was a riot to ride! Almost felt like Valentino Rossi, can’t imagine the adrenaline rush i’m going to get from this kart.
Will definitely attempt a track day in the future though. Appreciate the offer.

I guess it was a blessing in disguise that I never heard anything back from you, as I’ve been learning things hands on about my kart.
Got my seat mounted, figured out that my seals were gone and my pistons were sticking, making the calipers hard to spin freely. I also unfroze the front wheels with a lot of wd 40 and a socket wrench.
I pull it out every weekend, just to start her up, run through the gears. I do intend on having the brakes cleaned up and gone through professionally, as the brakes are one item on the kart that have to be right.
