Someone on Facebook just did a test with the new Iame 175cc and had the same thoughts as I had with this motor. It’s coming. Should be a great long track package. Time will tell.

Tom announced today information on the new IAME shifter that will be used in his series SKUSA. Again I think it will be the new Iame 175cc motor for the Pro Class. We will wait and see. ICC seems to be making a come back. I see good results at Rock Island for these motors this year. Opinions?

Thanks again for another year of hard work putting this practice deal together. You and your crew do a great job. Good track time, people, food, and fun. Also weather.

Be sure you need an extended pourch. My son and I are 6’2″ and 6’3″ and have run the extended pourch and liked it better without. There are thing to do to a chassis with out using the extended pourch. Seat and pedals. We run Birel chassis.

Anyone interested in running a shifter at the Speedway race that is not running a Honda let USAC no you would like to be included.

AS of now it is a Honda shifter only class. We hope this race will be back again so we need all the karts we can get.

      If interested let USAC know.

Thanks USAC for putting this race on.

I know Eric and I feel awful lucky to be able to get 2 practice days in at our favorite track the last few years.

So thanks for getting it set up each year.

Not sure if this will make u feel any better,

A few years back we were running the Rotax series and had just purchased a new cylinder (can’t remember why) and installed it for a test day at New Castle. It was early spring if I remember right, we drove half way (5hr drive to NCMP) Friday night so we could get a early start Saturday morning. Arrived at the track early to a cold but nice day to test. Got kart out fired it up and water came running out of that new cylinder (cracked). Guess it got colder than we thought friday night at the motel.  10 hours on road, gas, cylinder, food, and family time together you gota love this sport.

      Dennis

      see ya at the test

I know this is all together different kind of racing (road racing) but. We have been road racing (only)the last 4 to 5 years plus RIGP and our karts have always finished each year as clean as we started the year. This has been with some of the closest racing you will ever see, on the edge of your seat racing. Last lap last corner three wide photo finishing is common.

The respect for the 100+mph racing is something to see on these tracks. We just returned from our first sprint race in some time and sorry to say I don’t miss it one bit.

I know this type of racing is not for everyone but we do not worry about all the crazy driving that sprint racing has. Something has to be done and soon or there will be even less people interested in sprint racing.

Thanks Ken all good points. We have used off set engine mount also and understand the rear sprocket clearence problems.

We road race  mostly  so we also use (ICC) off set large front sprockets that work well.

The 2550 worked well for us so after up coming race we are back to ICC road racing no issues with these things.
