      Larry,

I appreciate the quick response on this matter. Sounds like I will be writing a letter or 2. Thanks.

      Alan,

Are you running in the Viper class, too?

I didn’t see you in your kart, either

Well, it turns out that my friend Alan Sheidler looked at the kart today and he said the hubs are 40mm and the wheels are 35mm, or close to it. So basically someone before me bought the wrong wheels. I am the 3rd owner of the kart.

There are 9 lines on the hub. I am trying to get to the last one. Need about 3/4″ more movement to get there. The outer hub will go all the way to where I want it to go, but not when the wheel is bolted to it.

I haven’t seen any plastic rings. Where would they be if I had them?

Good ole fashion cheap Douglas wheels are about $30 each and work great on any kart.

I noticed that Saturdays 125 shifter race had about half of the field DQ’d. Can anyone shed some light on what happened?

26 when you include the ladies. Looks like the street tire stuff has exploded in numbers.

I don’t know for sure about # requirements, but they did do away with GP.

My prediction is 20 people for Km/Kml total. I bet the event has about 1050 total, after all deadlines have passed. $170 is still a lot of cash for 6 runs.

Well, I signed up last night and my wife will sign up tonight. Shawn Hill autocrossed his kart on July 12th here in kc, so don’t know about any selling of his kart. Jared Langenfeld has been road racing his kart all season long and doing quite well, I might add. Not sure what he is doing for Nats. Anyone know if the Segals are coming out this year?

True, but I cant imagine why anyone would want a SA helmet for karting. I don’t think anyone worries about getting burned up in a kart.

I saw an online vendor selling HJC helmets that had snell2015 ratings over the weekend. So they are out now.

Thanks Eric. There will be a 2015 snell rating on the adult helmets. When is the next rating date for the youth helmets?

I think it would neat to run one of the modern fuel injected 250 four strokes in a stock form, leaving only the exhaust open for mods. No more fiddling with carb jets to “get it just right”.

The folks that sell MG’s pretty much all have the same pricing, but some have free shipping. Those are the ones that get my business. Cant remember off the top of my head who I bought from last.

I agree Alan and Scott. Now if I can find a used one for sale that the owner doesn’t think is made of gold and is willing to ship it to me. I noticed one guy on this list that ships karts all of the time from NY for around $150.
