Glen, you beat us to the punch!!!

Saturday will be ran CW, Sunday will be ran CCW. This allows the KART officials to see which way is best to run their KART NATLS in October.

Entry form and event schedule is on the KART web site (www.kart.org).

You will notice that for this event that there is a SPRINT TAG EVO class. Weight is 385#.

The READ family wishes everyone a SAFE & FUN weekend as we will not be able to make this event due to SHOWTIME (HAYWIRED) has 2 major shows scheduled we cannot miss. Not everyday you get to perform at these events that his manager (Lindsay) got them in on this weekend.

I’m not smart enough (NO COMMENTS) to put a link here but, Lindsay has over 700 pictures she took during the weekend on her facebook page.

Thanks to all the racers and families who were able to make it this past weekend. Seeing new people get into the sport was awesome. Seeing the Reverly family after making the 12 hour drive was also special especially to the READ family. We had a good event with great weather other than the good old Kansas wind. Everyone who we spoke to had a great time. THANK YOU ALL from the READ family!!!!

Since everyone was pleased with the way SHOWTIME handled the flagging, maybe he just needs to do it again in September and let THE MAN get behind the wheel!!!!!!!

Hope to see you all back September 10/11 for our fall race.

    FYI,

On the schedule posted on the KART web site, I will be moving the SPRINT YAMAHA CIK I class that’s in race 4 and put it in race 1 on Saturday to accommodate a few racers. This class will get the checkered at the 30 minute mark.

    Jim,

Thanks my FRIEND!!!  That would be a 5.0 we would run on a Piston port at AMP. Kids run a 4.5 at Afton. Sounds like it could be the same to 2-3 more teeth then Hallett. This could be a fun fun track!!!

    Mike,

What class, motor??  If it’s the same package Lindsay ran at Daytona, I would start with a 4.5. I know that Brad runs 6-8 less teeth on his control vs his P.P. at 410#.

    Jim,

How about helping us MIDWESTERNERS who plan to go???  As you know, I don’t like to work on them at the track so, BE RIGHT ON!!!!  LOL

Whoops, I probably shouldn’t have let the cat out of the bag telling everyone that MT POCKETS RACING will be at this event.  Sure hate to scare the competition off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The city booked the county fair the same weekend that we had the KART event scheduled for the 6/7. Felt it be best to move it a week later vs dealing with the fair!!!!

Linda, that is VERY TRUE!!!! George once again is taking care of the RACERS!!!!!!!!!

MPH even has pics of the machinery on site. Once weather is good enough, the grinding of the bumps in turns 1, 6 and other areas will take place.

First off, THANK YOU ALL for the compliments given both here and at the event. That makes all the work before, during and after well worth it!!!!!!

NOT ONE RED FLAG!!!!! GREAT job goes to ALL the racers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will say that MR ROBBY and his associates had better have eyes in the back of there heads!!!!  PAYBACKS ARE HELL!!! That day will happen, GUARENTEED!!!!

    Glen,

As for NCM, they were very impressed with how well this WKA/KART event went. I was told by the track staff that we can come back there anytime !!!!

    Bo,

Robby who???. I think he was sleeping most of the time!! LOL. As for the rain, KART runs in the rain but keep in mind, there is rain and there is a down pour in which we don’t run in a down pour. Heck, our racers wanted on the track earlier then they did (idiots-LOL). I was hoping by putting the KART racers on the track that it would make it possible for the WKA racers to race in which it did. My understanding by some people on the wall that Jeremy Lightwine in the sprint 125 shifter class was only 8 seconds slower then he was on Saturday with a dry track.

    Jackie,

I know it was over 300. KART themselves had 124 which was awesome in my mind!!!!

Again, from myself and I’m sure I can speak for everyone else that was behind the scene that made this happen, THANKS TO ALL WHO ATTENDED AND SUPPORTED this event!!!

    John,

Not sure of what tracks I can give you to compare notes to. I can tell you the gears of what my kids who will be running the KART Piston Port laydown class that they have on now and feel it is dam close or not right on as we have a similar track as NCM. Both normally run up front where ever we go so they should be a good comparison to look at.

Brad: JICA Swift, 15-74 (33″ tire), HPV 5 pipe. Has to weigh 420#. He will possibly put on a Comer P51 with a MISI pipe to try. He would take 2 teeth off from the Jica swift set up and put the MISI pipe on. With the Comer he has to weigh 410#.

Lindsay: K71, 15-76 (33″ tire). MISI pipe. Has to weigh 400#

Hope this helps. Once there if we can help, look us up. Unfortunately we will be pitted by Robby (LOL).

    Bo,

Now that’s funny and I don’t care who you are!!!! LOLOLOLOLOL

For the record, I personally gave Robby my word that MT POCKETS RACING and/or there associates would NOT pull any pranks at this event like other events we got accused of doing (Barber, HPT). It be in his court now!!!!
