Thanks guys!. The guy is going to throw in a trailer as well he said, nothing fancy, but looks ok.
Sebastian SarmientoParticipantHi William,
1-Bob Bondurant on Race Kart Driving.
2-Everything you need to know KARTING By Memo Gidley
3-The karting manual 2nd Edition (2011)
This books were recommended to me by Freddy Sandoval and Ted Hamilton, Both great members with lots of experience!!! I bought all three to pile up for the winter.
This books will cover basic chassis set-up and driving technics.
I hope this helps.
Good luck!

October 16, 2014 at 7:10 pm in reply to: Opinion on kart scrapes. are they too deep?? Link to pics included #35394Sebastian SarmientoParticipantHi fellas,
thank you for the comments. My plan is to sell the whole motori 7 with all the extra parts. Like 1200 maybe? , sell the mychron 4 and install a rotax package i have.
At that point the chassis would be 1500 plus or minus.
My main concern are the scrapes on the bottom.! what do you think about that?
October 14, 2014 at 8:13 pm in reply to: Best book to get the basics on set-up, driving technique, etc #35309Sebastian SarmientoParticipantthanks! I ‘ll check it out, so I can read and learn during the winter rainy days.
Thanks again guys!

and good luck finding your spare kart to introduce people to karting, it’s a really nice thing you are doing there man.
I wish you would live closer, you seem like a really nice guy, always helping out.
I saw a kart in nice shape about three weeks ago close by here in northern CA with a Honda 4 stroke on it for $500,it was just missing the nose cone, I can check if it still available if you like.
Thanks again for the tip on the book.
Sebastian SarmientoParticipantHi, please send pics at redeclipse26@sbcglobal.net
Thanks.
Sebastian SarmientoParticipantThanks for the leads. I found a 2013, with tons of spares( axles, air box, fuel pumps, tons of parts, snipers), with a complete rebuilt Motori 7, 2014 new brakes. and a little trailer for a great price!!.
Thanks for your help!
Sebastian SarmientoParticipantlooks immaculate!
September 29, 2014 at 6:55 pm in reply to: dumb question of the day! tony kart evr 125 shifter used for tag?? #34671Sebastian SarmientoParticipantYou are right Rod, personal experience is totally different sometimes. I think I read you posting about having trouble finding and re-adjusting your braking points with the Birel banana brakes.
Sebastian SarmientoParticipantthanks Randy,
I appreciate the lead.
Sebastian SarmientoParticipantHi Josh,
If it still available, what would you do shipped to 95129 (San Jose, CA). I would pay thru Paypal. No Ikart spindles needed.
Thanks.
Sebastian SarmientoParticipantChassis still available? (510)4688436 send pics please.
September 28, 2014 at 8:10 am in reply to: dumb question of the day! tony kart evr 125 shifter used for tag?? #34573Sebastian SarmientoParticipantHi Freddy,
thanks for your response. At this point a club race would be the most I would do. I don’t think I’m even ready to do that yet because I’m a rookie and before I enter , even to a small club race, would like to get more practice hours on my belt, not only for me, also to be safe around others.
The reason I’m looking for a chassis is that I do have two complete leopards and one complete Rotax package, and my top kart chassis is all worn out on the bottom (I bought it for a really low price, and at that moment, I didn’t know if I would like karting or not), I was told that it is ok for practicing, but replace the chassis as you as I can.
I like Birel, but Tony kart/Kosmik (OTK) seems to be taking over the market and it makes it easier to get parts, even used ones..
Thanks again. On what part of CA are you located?.
Thanks for the response!
September 27, 2014 at 4:35 pm in reply to: Anybody close to San Jose, CA that I can learn from/go to the track with? #34563Sebastian SarmientoParticipantThanks Taylor,
I know Donald from Cambrian go karts, He’s a nice guy, but He’s into big races and always busy. Actually the first time I went to Sonoma=Infineon raceway I hired Him as a coach to show me the basics lines, safety and what to check for.
Thanks
Sebastian SarmientoParticipantHi jake,
what year and model is the chassis? What year is the engine? The engine is up to today’s rotax max regulations or before 2011?
thanks
please send pics to 5104688436
Sebastian SarmientoParticipanthi todd,
I know it’s been a while, but is it still available?
Sebastian SarmientoParticipantI paid $200 dollars to get this engine shipped to from IA to CA. I just bought another engine (whole kit) from Puerto Rico, the guy shipped it in two boxes like it is supposed to be for $120. This guy Scott told me the shipping would be around 200/250 to have someone to pack it professionally. I believed Him.
Today I received the engine kit from Scott, let the pictures speak by themselves.
Is this a good guy Richard/members??
Sebastian SarmientoParticipantDon’t even ATTEMPT to thread on me, Sure notify anything you want AND…don’t forget to notify the text message with plenty of insults that you just sent me, because I WILL.
On the other hand, your topic never had so many replies ;) (you should thank me for that), also if you would have dedicated all this time to contact me when the time was right instead, none of this would have been necessary.
All I did was to pay. I have given you too much of my time, way way way more than what you deserve. and I normally say good luck, but… not to you.
Sebastian SarmientoParticipantGood, at least I’ve got you to answer!!, if for trusting someone I’m pathetic I may be then, but at least I’m honest and I do my research before I sell my stuff, also if I make a mistake I fix it, I don’t do the go around.
Took me three days to reach you by e-mails, then you said you would call me back after the meeting to work things out and that was 3 .. or 4 days ago??. Glad to know you are OK. Now..
You can shove you kit right in you shelf!!. LOL
Sebastian SarmientoParticipantBE CAREFUL WITH THIS GUY SCOTT, I BOUGHT A ROTAX ENGINE THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE 2009 AND IT ENDED UP BEING 07, ALSO PAID FOR A CLUTCH THAT NEVER RECEIVED, IT SEEMS THAT HE’S “TOO BUSY” TO RETURN THE MONEY OF WHAT HE GOT PAID FOR AND NEVER SENT.
TOO BAD. THIS EXPERIENCE MAKE ME THINK TWICE BEFORE BUYING FROM HERE AGAIN, EVEN WHEN I’M SURE THERE ARE LOTS OF HONEST PEOPLE HERE.
IT’S OK SCOTT, KARMA ALWAYS CATCHES UP WITH EVERYONE.
Sebastian SarmientoParticipantpics? redeclipse26@sbcglobal.net.
Thanks.
