David I agree for sure on the pit in wall, that looks real scary for a car let alone on a kart.
Dennis ChappellParticipantDon’t want to start anything but, while standing with everyone else along the front straight at Blackhawk the thought of karts getting together and where they may end up sent a chill down my spine. People standing on guardrail hanging half there body over it. I want to see the race from the best possible spot, get the perfect picture like everyone but I would hate to see what could happen if a kart was to come over that guard rail. I was at a sprint kart track years ago and seen two karts get together one kart got airborne cleared the fence and landed in the pit. I sat in turn one on the hill at Eldora for a Outlaw race and had Steve Kinsers gas tank land inches from me with fuel pouring out. There was a wall and fence between me and track. Just like to hear what people think, maybe its just me. Would also hate to see karts band from these tracks.
Dennis ChappellParticipantRobert
Thanks for getting the weekend together it was a good day all around. Good weather, people and got a lot done.
We also met Paul, enjoyed helping him out. The smile on his face after sorting his kart out was priceless. He will be back for sure.
Hope it can be done again next year.

Great story. You did everything the right way. We also do both sprint and road racing with road racing being our favorite. I think a lot of people are missing the boat not trying it. I have seen some great three wide finishes, great drafting and great all around racing.
Hope you continue to race the long tracks and have a good time.

Dennis ChappellParticipantWe have 4 to 5 pages about the Kart TV show is now one a little bit interested in what is going on with this topic?
Dennis ChappellParticipantMaybe people should pay less attention to Kart life and more attention to what’s going on in Karting. 4 pages of kart life, nothing about chassis manufactures or the Super Nats hotel being torn down.
Dennis ChappellParticipantAgreed Keith
birel big news what going on there ?
Anyone staying at the riviera Casino hotel for nationals this November? Is it going to be there, am I missing something?
Dennis ChappellParticipantGreg
Shifters ARE fun at NCMP and don’t forget SKUSA will be coming to town this summer so we need to have home town guys at there peak performance. Gota show the West we got some drivers here.
Dennis ChappellParticipantRobert you know we already have that day marked on the calendar.
And your right on with what you are saying about this helping road racing.
Hope u can pull this off again.

December 7, 2014 at 2:32 pm in reply to: Spec Racing Is Here – What Engine(s) will you be racing in 2015? #38528Dennis ChappellParticipantRoad Race Shifters with CES, WKA.

December 7, 2014 at 6:31 am in reply to: Evolution of SKUSA; IAME shifter engine in the future? #38511Dennis ChappellParticipantGiven their even tighter relationship IAME why not?
Dennis ChappellParticipantThis motor is ready for Super Nats. built by the team that finishes on the podium.
Dennis ChappellParticipantTry Pro Honda spray cleaner & polisher or Original Bike Spirits spray cleaner & polisher on the body work and chrome it works grate. Bikers us it cuse it works. WD-40 the frame and motor than when your done hit whole kart with one of these, kart will look new.
Works great on all ATV, snowmobiles or anything like this. Also works for removing tar from along the bottom of your auto.
Can be found at any bike,ATV, or snowmobile shops.
Dennis ChappellParticipantThis series is what the Midwest needs to get road racing back to where it used to be.
If everyone would try it once there is a chance it could be big again.
Great racing good people and good times. A no brainer.
Tell your friends to give it a try.
Dennis ChappellParticipantScottie
Call MRP Steve,Chris,or Gary will get things sorted out for you. They also have a web site for just this type of question.

Terry Riggins counted new drivers at the drivers meeting and was around 15 or more last I could hear. When he ask new drivers to raise there hands it looked like there were going to be more new then current.Dennis ChappellParticipantSome good points Keith. We always return form our race and I look forward to reading how exciting the racing was that I just witness.
Well nothing. I have been to every type of racing there is from F1 to local short tracks and some of the kart races I have watched the last couple years have ranked right up there with the best. Drafting at over 100mph with 4 to 5 karts finishing 3 and 4 wide for photo finish. Man I would be selling that any chance I get. If I had never been to a kart race I would want to see that. We have brought friends and family to watch and they are amazed at what they see. We need to get the word out now not after they stop road racing. Just my two cents.Dennis ChappellParticipantWe know about every major sprint kart race happening, minute by minute details.
Wasn’t there a road race at Grattan couple weeks ago?
I seen some awful good racing going on when I got the chance to watch.
We wonder why we can’t get new racers to start road racing, maybe we should report on the excellent racing we are having so people will get involved.
Any ideas?
Dennis
Dennis ChappellParticipantTony
I think the reason for no comment on amenities is some of us have already been to the track seen and discussed the improvements, and thanks again to the track for them. Thanks to Dave and everyone who helps put the race on. This is a great place to race karts. If anyone has not raced here you must put it on your to do list.
Dennis
Dennis ChappellParticipantGood point Keith. Wish we could get more people out to try Road Racing. Great tracks, good people, and lots of fun. Try it you might get hooked.
Dennis ChappellParticipantThat’s the right answer David. There all just motors that put on a hell of a show at the end of the day.
