David ColeKeymasterYour options for regional and national are limited. GoPro has a X30 Heavy class. WKA and USPKS does not have a Masters category, or Heavy division. The F-Series has a Formula 125 with Parilla Leopard at 380lbs, maybe they would add the X30?
Most have removed the 190lbs./200lbs. option for younger drivers in the Masters division. Old guys didn’t like young guys wrecking them. Its a shame, as it gave two different age groups/size groups to race at the national level. Now there is a void for the drivers 18-32 that are 180lbs or more a place to be competitive.
David ColeKeymasterWhat engine category?
David ColeKeymasterMasters divisions is basically a Heavy class, as long as the driver is 190lbs-200lbs depending on the event/series/organization.

Thanks!

David ColeKeymasterThanks guys. There is only one “The Man”. I’m just “The Guy”
David ColeKeymasterWelcome back Joe.
David ColeKeymaster
I’m working with John Klutz on a faster class that’s more affordable. X30 tag E laydown class. Almost as fast as a 100cc open but much less maint cost. Also talking with SMC on getting back into making axle clutches. Tom wants to make some design improvements but needs to be able to sell 50 clutches
The TaG Enduro thing was tried before, but the engines were not as reliable. The X30 deal Lindsay was racing was very slick and fast.
Aside from that, there does need to be more support for road racing products. I’m sure there are at least 50 people out there that would buy an axle clutch right now. My guess is that people are buying up used stuff to help replace their old parts.
David ColeKeymasterI’d love to see a video of it done on a kart. We could feature it on site.
David ColeKeymasterHere a link to my column https://new.ekartingnews.com/2016/01/05/behind-the-pit-wall-wka-daytona-kartweek/
David ColeKeymasterWe had a paper list that was offered, which was over 215 entries I believe. They are expecting over 250 total for the event with walk-ups certain, and hopefully more. Happy Holidays.
David ColeKeymasterHopefully, I will be voted in as Trustee and this will be one area of the sport that will get my attention during my three-year term.
Scoring is really not that difficult if you know what the system does. Just like anything, practice makes perfect.
My feeling is results should be uploaded after each day, as they are always ‘Unofficial’ Post official results to the website, so there is record of it and people can download the PDF later to save for themselves.
Hey James, be sure to work on the Race-Monitor issue in 2016 ;)
WKA needs to do the same, and run Race-Monitor at all their Road Racing events.
David ColeKeymaster
I don’t know how you guys think about European drivers on the Supernats – but putting the Vegas race on the same date than the World Champs in Bahrain for sure doesn’t make it so easy for some of the factory teams… And – just to remind you – you have a World Champion… Nobody take care???
You can thank CIK-FIA as the SuperNationals is always scheduled the weekend before USA Thanksgiving weekend. CIK-FIA has continued to move their world championship event around. This year it was in September, now they move it to November. No consistency.
