The final practice session was canceled due to time constraints.

Qualifying for RoboPong and Yamaha categories will take place after Pro-Am event.

David, You’ve never seen celebratory donuts after a shifter kart race?

Yes, donuts I’ve seen but never a driver stopping on track and celebrating to the max that he did. Don’t get me wrong, but I’d probably do the same thing if I won the SuperNats or at Daytona. Just wondering if anyone has seen something like this in America. I guess is that because the event is under the CIK-FIA sanction, they follow the rules to the ‘t’ there, thus why they laid down the penalty to him and the other driver who stopped.

Has anybody looked into fixing the quote button? It adds a bunch of garbage to the post, and you have to back in and delete it all, really annoying…..

    CR

If you are using the ‘Text’ tab, you have to begin typing your message after it ends the blockquote bbcode, just as I did here.

I’m working to add screen captures and directions for both in the FAQ section

    Thanks

We are working on posting a FAQ regarding the quote function. It’s something new and different, we just need to review to people how it works.

If you are using the ‘Visual’ tab, you have the exit out of the quote function by clicking on the ” button above, between the italic and strikethrough. Just as I did above.

    Chris,

As we have mentioned before, there is a long list of things we are working on for the future of the EKN site. We have a number of projects in the works daily, and there are only so many hours in the day. We appreciate everyone’s suggestions and constructive criticism. Things are not as easy as flipping a switch, as you may think they are. Just like putting on a new part to your kart, we are testing new functions before implementing them to the main site. We are taking step by step procedure rather than just putting it in and ‘seeing’ if it worked. I hope you understand our position.

in reply to: Supernats License issued by WKA for KZ2 class? #13542

It is my understanding that because KZ2 is an international class, it has to be recognized by the country’s CIK ‘affiliate’ – which in the United States is WKA. Through WKA, United States racers purchase their CIK-FIA licenses. While I don’t see it listed on the SKUSA website, I would contact them directly to find out the proper process regarding the license system.

Yes, we have tried numerous times to connect with Mr. Adamson, but no return.

Regarding this event counting as a point race, it can’t and shouldn’t happen, IMO.

This is a one-off event, like the Rock Island Grand Prix or Lone Star Grand Prix, or the PRD Pan Am that took place during the IndyCar weekend in Fontana this weekend.

If point championships were so important, we’d have more the 1% in WKA land racing every event.

IMO, this event needs to be like the SCCA Runoffs, where we welcome everyone from around the country, working with a limited but open class structure, to provide one of the best road races in the country for the first time since the hey-days of Road America.

If not in 2014, I think something can be done for the future.

    Hi Dallton,

Head to http://www.midstatekartclub.com/ for a taste of local karting in your area. Margay Racing is in the St. Louis area for a local shop, and the members there are great people.

Depends on the area of the country and the track. If those are the categories getting the most support and numbers, it looks great. I love the LO 206 categories, personally. It’s a great club engine package.

Kelly, I have to say he must be a video producer. He comes out of the corner and notices the camera is pointing up, and pushes it down, all after making pass for second. Nice move.

    Hi Jeff,

Not sure if you are referring to just Rok Cup USA, but I’m guessing it’s a numbers game. No sense in running two ‘Senior level’ classes with two different engines in a new program to the country.

Two drivers are racing in the Super Rok class this weekend at the Rok Cup International Final in Italy this weekend.

I would head to rokcupusa.com to find out more about the program here in the United States.
