Correct, however, the Notifications page is not working correctly, as it should be listing your notifications. We are working to fix that.

You shouldn’t need to log out to make it go away. It should only be displayed when a reply has been made to a thread you started, or when you receive a private message.

We are still working to fix this, after fixing the email notification.

I believe that F1 facility has a much lower sound level allowed then most tracks. I’m sure others on here can back that up and can offer you a solution to run under the sound level.

Thanks Craig. It’s a great little part to make the engine look better. I just have to dress up the gatorade bottle I use for the overflow HAHA

First off, check your Private Messages.

It’s a great TaG kart, won at the SKUSA Pro Tour many times now. You are in the Texas area, and I’m not familiar if they have a dealer down there that can help you directly. I do know that Italian Motors/Italkart provide great service, however, if you are new to the sport I would suggest going with a brand that has local support.

To go along with ‘New to WF’, can I assume that the Animal Rocker Cover Breather Adapter fits on a WF just the same?

Bill, I find it hard to believe that is the case. Did you connect with Keith yet?

I don’t want to speak for him, but I’m sure you could try out his World Formula kart for free. If someone is charging you $150 for cleaning, you are not talking to the right person.

If you are doing Rock Karts, I suggest getting a suit anyway. You can get a perfect karting suit to use for regular karting and Rock racing for $115 from K1

Helmet, yes, get one as well for about $450 from Bell

Like I said, this story sounds weird and not normal. Please don’t stop your path toward becoming part of our community with this bad taste. It truly is not what the sport is.

What about removing the rear bumper from Senior level racing? Keep them on the Junior and Cadet levels.

If he’s just looking to get practice as a newbie, any tire will be good. They are a harder compound, used for many slower club classes. If he’s looking to practice to improve his race pace, then I would use the same compound that they race on.

It still works Ron, you just have to open the thread you want to view in a new window. Is it a pain in the ass right now? Yes. Are we looking to try and fix that? Of course. It goes deeper then just a click of a button, thus there is no easy repair for it. We have to work directly with the developers.

    Hi Mike,

It depends on the situation. Many of the shops have Arrive-and-Drive customers. They set up a brand new kart for their customer, and then after the event, look to sell the race ready package. For instance, the European drivers come over for events in America, such as the SuperNationals or the SpringNationals just this month. I’m sure the kart Abbasse, Fore, or Lennox raced on are available for purchase.

In some since, these type of packages are great, as they are already ‘broke-in’ and ready to hit the track without any assembly.

Most karting chassis last a long time, especially for club racers.

Hi Bill and welcome to EKN and karting.

I would contact DRT Racing to see about a TaG Master package for you. They are an importer for the DR Racing Kart. They have one shop in New Hampshire and race team is based in Tennessee. TS Racing in Florida will also give you an option for parts and support during the winter months.

Another option for NHKA is the World Formula class. You can be competiive with a lower initial budget – buying a used kart with the engine around $1000 I believe.

Contact Keith Buffo for more specific questions about NHKA. Great person.

the quarky way the login works that people just give up trying to join or log in

Please be more specific. I keep myself logged in and never have any issues when I log back in. We had an email issue previously that was corrected, which hampered the registration process. Since we fixed that, new members continue to come in every day.

Bruce, if you and a bunch of others are interested in doing some landscaping and house work I’m putting off to be at the race track all weekend, you are more than welcome to come hang at the house :)

Looking forward to hanging out at the track.

We are receiving at least 20 new  members a day. To me, that’s growth. It’s taken people time to adjust to the new forum, and like the old forum, many just watch without posting. The forum is to answer questions about the sport. We’ve eliminated all the drama BS that occurred on the old site. Our mission is to provide a place for karters to ask and discuss the sport.

Rod, for someone who seems to think the site is a ‘ghost town’, you are posting one classified a month. Classifieds continue to be our busiest section of the forums. – AND YOU SOLD YOUR LAST ITEM. I’d say that’s a success, wouldn’t you?

Regarding the ‘New Post since Last Visit’ – we have been unable to adjust the standard system in place for the forum. It is a something that we have not been able to find an adjustment for. However, there are other options

    New Posts: Last Three Days

    New Posts: Last Week

You can find those at the top of the screen where it says EKN Forums with the little logo next to it.
