Brian WilhelmParticipant
MyLaps?
Brian WilhelmParticipantJeremy, I agree, it was a very good event. Dart Kart Club functions like a well-oiled machine and the organization of this race was exceptional. Thanks to Gene, Jerry, Sue, Chuck, Howard, and I’m sure many others that helped put on this event.
I can say from a personal viewpoint that the level of competition in Unlimited and F-125 was pretty intense.
Don Chrzan was the driver that was life flighted. It’s my understanding he’s ok, back home, and at work!
Brian WilhelmParticipantMitch and I will be there.
Brian WilhelmParticipantThanks Linda, I’ve been waiting a long time for this. See you there in August!
Brian WilhelmParticipantIs this a full, or partial re-paving?
Brian WilhelmParticipantGlad you guys had most of the day. I’m really looking forward to the May race, and I encourage folks to come to this event. It’s a very good track, unlike any other.
See you guys there!
Brian WilhelmParticipantDavid Piatt represented the kind of racer we should all try to be.
Brian WilhelmParticipantIan, it looks very interesting. Can you share any details?
Brian WilhelmParticipantThe clowns have dumped “Global Warming”, now they’re calling “Climate Change”. Gonna try to make us forget how bad they were off…..
Brian WilhelmParticipantHow do you know it was presented? Or wasn’t approved? Or???

Brian WilhelmParticipantThe SKUSA model doesn’t really fit the road racing world. Besides, SKUSA would have zero motivation for such an event.
Brian WilhelmParticipantBobby, what Robert is saying is that several of the B-Stock guys (two 100cc Controlled Motors) put on Sudam 125cc motors to run in Unlimited. The ones I know of are Robby Harper, Robby Harper III, and Johnny Howard. As I understand it, Craig Keller is running two 100cc modified motors. That’s one of the cool things about Unlimited, many combinations are legal.
Brian WilhelmParticipantI stock Pavesi parts. What type reeds are you needing?
Brian WilhelmParticipantI stock Pavesi parts. Whare type reeds are you needing?
Brian WilhelmParticipantThanks to the Dart Kart crew, WKA folks, and anyone else involved in the road race event. Everything ran super smooth. Nice job!
Brian WilhelmParticipantCan someone remind me what the proposed date for COTA is?
Brian WilhelmParticipantI’m looking forward to seeing everyone in Daytona! Drive safe.
Brian WilhelmParticipantGarnett and Afton are simply no more dangerous than the “rovals”. Why??? If I get out of shape and go off, I can maybe miss a tree, culvert, etc., but there is no way I can miss a wall.
Brian WilhelmParticipantOnly 5 weeks to go!

I use 100% synthetic exclusively, generally sticking with a 30:1 ratio.
Castor has historically been used for it’s superior lubricity, but I believe that modern synthetics have certainly equaled if not surpassed castor. Castor is also a vegtable oil and will spoil like any other cooking oil so if you do elect to stick with castor buy it in small quantities, as needed and never leave it sitting on the shelf for extended periods. My motors are clean, well lubricated, with much less oil smoke. The only motor I’ve ever ruined was leaned to the point it detonated and imploded. The one thing I can say about castor is that it smells great. I love the smell of castor!Simply not true.
So far, no synthetic oil manufacturer will make the claim that synthetic oil will perform better than castor, mostly because it will not. Castor will not “spoil”. Certain parts may precipitate out over very long periods, but will easily re-blend. Exposing castor to temps below 20deg can harm certain castor formulation

That certainly explains that!
Brian WilhelmParticipantI experimented with a couple of different designs, but I couldn’t get any gains.
Brian WilhelmParticipantHonestly, the price of an entry fee is almost irrelevant compared to travel, lodging, food, parts, tires, fuel, oil, etc.
The clubs should not low-ball entry fees to try to get more entrants. That puts their program at too much risk. Charge an appropriate amount. The club needs to make a profit so they can have a cushion in case of rainout, etc. In general, our entry fees are lower than most other types of racing at the same track.
