It’s probably the way your bleeding them. The system is not full or has traped air. If you have the flat tops with no fill plug on the masters then it’s best to bleed backwards. You should take the caps off and open the bleeder. Then force fluid into the bleeder untill clean air free fluid flows out of the master. I use a pressurized canister but something like a turkey baster works also. Anything that can force clean air free fluid thru the system will work.

Thanks Alan.  The clone hit 6K my son raced it and I know the gearing was right. 17/68 would put me around 7 MPH faster than the clone so I think your right it probably should be a good starting point.

When I started karting I had minor rib pain with a cheap vest. I switched to the Rib Tech and had Major rib pain. I was in horrific pain and didn’t know what to do. I went to a chiropractor friend and he took an xray to see if I had broken a rib. I didn’t but the xray revealed that I had one rib on my left side that didn’t line up. It stuck out past the others. Nothing really wrong just my anatomy. The Rib Tech vest which normally does a very good job of distributing the pressure evenly ended up being the worst thing I could have done because it was concentrating pressure on one rib. I found a K1 vest with more of a curve to it and I’ve been good ever since. My point is that the best vest may not be the best for everyone. If it doesn’t feel right don’t use it. As others have said stay out of the kart until your 100%. For me it took 5 weeks. The first 4 it felt like it was no better sometimes even worse. It seems to completely go away all at ounce in the 5th week.

That’s the problem with a track made from a parking lot and operating at the mercy of the civic center. Thay’ve cancelled before because of events at the civic center although never a blanket cancelletion of everything.

Anderson in Palmetto would work. Practice could be worked into they’re normall Saturday schedule along with 2 heats then a feature at 5 PM. I would think if they had a 10 kart showing @ $55 per kart they might be interested. If there is interest I can ask.

Tri City Kart Club at the Showtime Speedway would be another possibility. They’re always looking for new participation and They’re nice people who are easy to deal with. How about running the big oval configuration?

You’ve got to use 4 scales and they have to be level. Putting one wheel at a time on a single scale won’t work. With 4 $15 Walmart dial type scales I’ve been witin 2 pounds of real kart scales.

When I was getting started I had similiar issues. Unless your seat is way to big you may simply need to learn how to relax a little more. It’s a natural reaction to brace yourself and it takes a little practice to relax and relize that the seat will support you. After a full year and a lot of seat time I still find myself doing it ocasionally. It will beat you up pretty quickly.

The RLV chain breaker has 2 bolts in it. One has the long pin on it for pushing the pin out of the chain the other has a cupped pin for pushing it back in. If you use the long pin to put it back together it’s going to break every time. You should also check for play or space side to side after you put it together. Sometimes you’ll find it’s to tight and you have to spread it a little to get proper spacing.

I wonder why Marc started it here on a karting forum then moved it over to facebook?

CRG manufactures under a few diffrent brand names. Zanardi, DR and there’s a new one I forget the name but it’s a green chassis. The DR’s I’ve seen are identical to the CRG bolt for Bolt and a little cheaper. I have CRG and DR the only diffrence is color and graphics. TS racing in Bushnell FL Imports and stocks DR along with all the parts.
