MINI SWIFT

Cadet racing began at the SKUSA SuperNationals back in 1998, the second edition of the Las Vegas event, in shifterkart form with 60cc Novice. That age group was absent from the event through 2006 to 2009 before the TaG Cadet division made its debut. The category ran for six years prior to the split, creating Mini Swift and Micro Swift. Over those 15 editions of TaG Cadet and Mini Swift, an amazing 15 different winners have stood on top of the podium. For the 16th time, a new winner will be crowned at the SuperNationals this season. Last year’s winner Maxwell Macha graduated to the Junior level, opening the door for a new driver to join the former 15 that include names from Formula One, IndyCar and NASCAR in Logan Sargeant, Patricio O’Ward and Connor Zilisch.

Two podium finishers from 2025 are back this year. Zayne Burgess (Parolin Motorsport USA) was runner-up a year ago and is coming in with an even stronger CV, having raced all year in Europe. The Jamacian driver who resides in Florida was the Micro Swift winner in 2024, following the Micro win by Maxwell Macha in 2023. Should it follow course, Burgess is the favorite to win this year. Canadian Jayden Francisco (RPM / Nitro Kart) finished fifth at SuperNats 28. Like Burgess, the majority of Francisco’s schedule this year has been focused on overseas races with a few one-off events in the USA. This will be Francisco’s fourth start at the SuperNationals, highlighted by a fourth-place result in Micro back in 2024.

The field has two former SuperNats winners in the field, including last year’s Micro Swift victor Dutch Westbrook (Team Benik). Westbrook comes in this year as a rookie, coming off championship at the SKUSA Pro Tour with two wins at the SummerNationals. Four of the top five in the SKUSA standings will be in the field as well. Mason Brody (SCR / Nitro Kart) was second in the standings with two wins at the WinterNationals. Brody ran Micro Swift last year and is coming back down to Mini after running Junior races over the last few months. SKUSA Winter Series champion Jake Manalio (RPM / Nitro Kart) finished on the SKUSA Pro Tour championship podium in third and he’ll be making his second SuperNationals start after placing 10th last year. Lucas Tarango (RPM / Nitro Kart) is among nine drivers making a fourth start at the SuperNationals, coming in as the fifth-place finisher in the SKUSA Pro Tour standings. Tarango was 11th last year. Mexican driver Marcelo Flores (Parolin Motorsport USA), who was 15th last year, joins Kiwi Iver Spence (Parolin Motorsport USA) among the nine drivers returning from last year.

Over 30% of the field is making the move up from Micro to Mini this year. Along with Westbrook, six others finished in the top-15 a year ago. Costa Rican Samuel Chaverri (Parolin Motorsport USA) was runner-up in 2025, finishing just ahead of Zev Godschalk (Team Benik). Aidan Go (Parolin Motorsport USA), Liam Francisco (RPM / Nitro Kart), and Ayax Capitan Garduno (InterMS / Tony Kart) all finished inside the top-15 in Micro last year. Lenox Lockhart (Parolin Motorsport USA) is another Mini rookie to watch, as he is another driver who spent much of his 2026 season racing internationally.

A total of 20 drivers will be in the field from outside the USA. Argentina driver Vicente Santino Aguilar (Orsolon / Tony Kart) made his USA debut this season and is coming off a runner-up finish at ROK Vegas 2026. Mexican driver Polo Santo (Orsolon / Tony Kart) scored the Texas Sprint Racing Series championship in 2026. Colombian Jacobo Agudelo (Team Benik) and Iker Alvarez (Team Benik) from Mexico are other drivers to watch on the week.
