Race Report: Padholder Super Cup Series Sprint – McMinnville

The second event of the 2022 Padholder Super Cup Series presented by Nº1 Collison Centers took place at the McMinnville Kart Track – home of the Portland Karting Association over the May 21-22 weekend. The Pacific Northwest program promoted by the NorthWest Karting Association came off a record turnout at their opening event at Tri-City Kart Club in Washington. It was followed by 315 entries for the weekend throughout the 10 classes with plenty of action all weekend long over the two rounds of competition.
President of NorthWest Karting Association Michael Schorn, said, “The response of the racers was positive throughout the weekend. We received compliments from seasoned racers and those racing with us for the first time, all very gracious to be at the track.” Schorn also went on to thank the PKA club members and volunteers that made the event a success. “The logistics were something we had to have the racers families and crews be patient with us regarding the pits and parking. Thankfully everyone followed through and the Yamhill County Fairgrounds helped us achieve that goal as well.”
A Friday Barbeque was provided to those in attendance by ‘The Barbeque Guy’ along with special prizes from Kart-O-Rama, including $200 in cash to four Briggs 206 drivers along with over $1,000 to World Formula drivers thanks to CMC.
