Go to Auto Zone and rent a dent puller. That’s how I got mine out.

You will have to be creative as the dent puller and your bolt aren’t the same size. Once you get that figured out just use the slide hammer and swear a lot.

It also helps if you spray silicon around the rubber plug.

That’s what I have on my Superkart. I have a set of fronts in my shed, I can give you the number if you’d like.

Kart is finished and in the trailer. I’m ready to go.

It depends on where you are putting the weight. If I’m handing it from tubing I use Grade 8 5/16″ minimum. I also go nuts and double nut with blue Lock Tight and drilled for safety wire. You can get drill blocks from any of the big kart shops on line.

If your are mounting to seat I use carriage bolts 5/16″ minimum. Double nutted, Lock Tight, and drilled for safety wire.

This is probably over kill, but I don’t want to get hit by a 5 lb. block of lead. Paint the lead white before you mount it. If  it dose come off everyone else has a better chance of seeing it on the track.

Come down to Savannah Oct.4 & 5 and race with Southern Kart Club. I bet you can talk Dave into bringing the World Formula laydown for you to try. Roebling Road Raceway is not a complicated track to learn, so you would get a lot of track time.

Southern Kart Club is a great bunch of people, so you will get all the help you need. Just ask anyone for help, except me, I don’t know anything about laydawns.

Now I’m looking for parts.

I need 3 rawl nuts that are 13mm x 32mm. Those hold the bottom steering column cross member. I also need 4 rawl nuts that hold the back bumper on. They are two different sizes and I can’t find them right now. What a wonder. I never loose anything.

I still have the Swift. I had a disagreement with the turn 4 tire wall at VIR last year and bent the right front brake rotor along with some fiberglass.  The glass I can fix or replace, but the rotor is a problem. I borrowed the new kart to race until I can get the Swift fixed. I won’t drive anything until I take it apart and check everything. That is where I am now. A big pile of parts.

Yes the 2-stroke guys will tell you to get a cr250.

I had a crf450 on a Birel chassis. It worked ok until I put lead on it to make weight.  The handling was not a big problem, but it had little brake. The shifter brakes aren’t up to all that mass. They would slow the kart down, but pray that no one spins right in front of you.

Thank you for your reply, it’s a 3 bearing , so I guess a Maverick. I can find no plate on the frame anywhere. I was told it was an Anderson, but have on real idea. I don’t know why you would take the plate off, but there you are.
