Justin – Russell Anderson used to make two different model chassis – one was a Maverick and the other one was a Mirage. The Mirage was made specifically for the 250 twin cylinder class and that had a long wheel base – I am pretty sure that had a 46″ wheel base. That kart is no longer manufactured; the Zip Eagle II had the same wheel base too.
You can still buy a Maverick from Anderson, they have a couple to choose from, they are referred to as a Division 1 or Division 2 Maverick. Depends on your motor package you want to use. Here is a link to his site: http://www.andersonkarts.com/ — neither of the current Mavericks have a 46″ wheel base, they now have a 44″ wheel base. I am 6′ tall and fit in my Maverick no problem!

Hi Mark – can you take a photo of your existing mount and post it – that will enable me to check and see if I have one floating around.

I know a guy in Vegas that races the Honda TRX and does really well with it. He has developed the engine himself over the years and is very competitive.
He should be at the Big Willow race next month.

Joe – that is one fantastic video!!!! I think you missed your calling – you should be an editor in the movie industry, collecting an Oscar for best editing etc! :)
Well done!!!

John – I was looking at my data, checking RPM, EGT etc. trying to dial her in!
I know what you mean about the Dellorto carb – I have a few of them, I found them pretty complicated, however I think once you have figured it out it is a very tune-able carb; Ian knows how to tune them – that said I think he has switched to the TMXX carb.
And talking about engines – there is nothing wrong with your Honda – I had nothing for you – my speed is in my karts handling – when I came upon you exiting the carousel your engine pulled a couple of lengths on me very easily – get that kart dialed and you are right there my friend!!

Hey John – I don’t have a jetting program, it is all stored upstairs in the old grey matter – for a starting point anyway!! Then tuning to the track by how it feels, looks and sounds on the day right – yeah right!!
What is going on with your program – have you sold your PVP and heading to the 125 class still or are you going to stay with the lads and get your finger out :)!!?? Just kidding – I think your kart is working pretty good, just needs a few tweaks and you are right there!!

Sounds good Mark and what a great turn out – do you know who the other 4 competitors might be?
Cheers! :)

Hey Kerry – are you serious about bringing tires? If so I have quite a few sets I would love to unload!?
Larry the weather is looking good – thanks for all the updates! I tried to get on the DLB site last night and had no luck! Some thing must have a taken a shit! I was trying to look at our class to see who is going to show up for a great day of racing!! I will try later on today!
Just finishing off a few details on the kart – mount some tires then loading up the trailer!
Happy Thanks giving to all my racing Buds! :)

Glad to hear your kart is ready Mark – were you able to take the kart out and test the motor before the race – I hope so??
I will be working on mine today while watching F1 from Austin – unfortunately we all know who is going to win – I am hoping Weber takes him out on the first turn!! That would be GREAT!!! :)

Thanks for the weather update Larry – what was the temp last year – that was a great weather day?
Ok, so where are the photos of Doug’s new kart?? And what are they getting from you – PVP parts or singing lessons!?
I am trying to finish my kart off – Dean has made some Hi-Tech parts for his Martin-i kart which I am sure he will be bragging about at Sears!!
By the way does anybody read ekarting news since the change?

October 21, 2013 at 3:26 pm #13307TonyParticipant
I must admit I too am getting frustrated with this topic due to the lack of communication from Bernie. I know he is working abroad but that does not stop him for posting on ekarting! I really can’t see any meeting taking place with COTA in the near future as I am sure they are getting ready to host F1 in November – so don’t hold your breath folks.
As Rodger Miller mentioned, along with other kart organizations they are all trying to book tracks for next years season. I think everyone has been patient but time is running out – Bernie you need to communicate and let people know what is happening!

Hey Larry – if you count one more of the Vegas Mafia boys along with the guy out in Palmdale whose name I can’t remember (sorry) who just bought a new Cobalt – I believe they are planning on coming out to race – SO we will have 20 Superkarts!! Yeah baby!
And yes Dean I have been polishing both my rods – so I will be bringing my spare engine!! :)
Looking forward to racing and hanging with a bunch of good friends!
PS Hey Rob H and Dave C – Don’t take this the wrong way – BUT the new ekarting news sure is difficult to use – I prefer the old format by far!

No deal Mark!! Screw work and flying to Japan! Racing is way more important!!!
Mark I am so glad you have sorted your motor out and coming to Button!! No chance of lapping you now, all you Honda guys are flying!!
Just kidding on the bubble bracket Mark – let me see what I paid for it and I will let you know.
Larry you better get your finger out and get that motor back on the kart! No wait a minute, what am I thinking! You will have to ask Mark M to come over and help you find your spanners as you don’t know the difference between metric, american and good old whitworth!! Ha ha :)

Hey Chris – I would like to go but I think work is not going to allow me to make the trip. I know Larry, Dean and quite a few others from the NCK clan are making plans to be there – so yeah some guys will be there!

Hey Larry, are you sure about that 86 degrees, last time I looked it said 96 degrees!? Kind of like Thunderhill and I was pretty knackered at the end of that second ICE race!!! And one more question – it looks like you have the points all tied up again in Unlimited and ICE!!!? So I guess you are the club champ again!?
