Best advice I got when I was a kid just starting to race.  “Keep the steering wheel as straight as possible as much as possible”.

I have a carry permit. Never leave the house without it!   And have no qualms about purging the gene pool, if you know what I mean.  It’s really a shame you can’t travel in this country anymore with anything of value without having to worry about getting ripped off.  And don’t feel safe without packing heat.  Back in the day we would transport our karts in an open trailer and never have to worry about theft.  This country is going down the shitter, fast.

If the seller knew what he was doing.  That should not have happened.  IMO.

Wow, after reading this post, I am amazed that back in day we survived at all.  We didnt have nerf bars.  We wore open face helmets and a jacket, maybe gloves, maybe not.  Oh I know, we knew not to bang or interlock wheels or you would get hurt.  It was called clean racing, respectful passing, etc.

I think Bill McLaughlin at Top Kart USA used to sell them.  I thought I saw some when I worked there a couple years ago.  I don’t think they make them anymore, but could be wrong.

My personal thoughts are it’s a good rule.  It helps to slightly thwart cheating.  And we all know that a lot of consistent winners are good, but they also cheat.  Or should I be politically correct and say, “interpret the rules in their favor”.  Happens in all forms of sport.  It’s part of racing. It’s human nature, unfortunately.  I used to race rc cars years back.  Batteries were the source of power.  Rules stated in this class,  only used batteries could be used and could be claimed for $25.  Which is cheap.  Also they where not subject to tech inspection because of that. The guy who consistently won, actually spanked everybody every race,  told me he couldn’t believe no one ever claimed his batteries. They where totally illegal and he admitted to it.  AJ Foyt even said, “It ain’t cheatin unless you get caught”.

See if you can get a front runner driver to take it out.  I did that when I first started my son.  Ended up my son was just as fast.  We won our first race.

Thank You Rob.  I appreciate that. I understand the dirt thing.  It’s too dirty.

Geez man.  All I’m saying is it would be nice to see a little coverage of road racing events, that’s all.  Maybe some pictures.  Some results.  Some write-ups, etc.  No need to get your panties in a wad.  If it doesn’t happen I aint losin no sleep over it.

Anything would be better than what I’ve seen, which is nothing.  I don’t run a Karting News website, you do.

LOL, I love the response.  Have to go to another site for anything on road racing, or the dirt series for that matter.  But on this site, for Man Cup, they will post top 5 practice times, heat results, post pictures, name names, write articles and so on. Daily if not hourly.  What I would call full coverage.  But I understand.  Man Cup is where the money is. I get it.  And as we racers know, money talks, everything else walks.

I can only imagine what they want to rent that track.  Probably not enough karters in the whole US to cover that cost.

Because as nice as NCMP is, it’s not the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.  That’s why.  I think Mark would agree.
