      Sorry to hear this.

We bought the first Yamaha we ever had from Ron.

      Dan,

I just got an email from Sven.  He’s currently out of the US, but said that he will try and hook up with you.

If you want to pursue getting the part(s), you can drop him an email at sven@magnaracing.com.  That way he’ll have an email addy to respond to you directly.

The dealers that you listed are all great ones – hope you get what you’re looking for soon.

Good luck with your racing season!

      Dan…

Magna Racing has been a dealer of ours for almost six years now – Sven is a great guy to work with.

Sorry to hear that he hasn’t gotten back with you.  I know it’s rough sometimes keeping all the balls in the air when you juggle a number of responsibilities.

I’ll drop him a note and see if we can get you guys hooked up.

Does his site show the item you’re looking for?  If so, try placing your order and leave him a note in the check out process.

I most certainly agree with the idea that no hair should extend below the helmet… and if it long enough that it would… a headsock should be worn.

Like Greg, I’ve witnessed it also and after 25 years it seems like it was this past weekend.

Depending on the age of a younger driver, and the rules of your sanctioning body, the Sparco SPK-7 is not a chest protector that’s certified to the SFI 20.1-1/2 spec.

      Bill is correct.

In one of the episodes, there’s a scene where the leading driver is wearing a 360 Plus Device… with the name and logo prominently shown.  We got an email from the company that produced the show asking us if we would sign off that it was okay to show the image.

Brock,  look at it this way also…

Any time you can take a piece of “safety equipment” that’s roughly 1.5″ to 2″ thick, squeeze it between your fingers and you’re able to compress it to about 1/4″, it’s not really doing much of anything.

Granted, with the introduction of the Leatt neck brace and the 360 Plus Device, a number of the foam collars have gotten more dense, but they’re not the same.

      Just my opinion.

If you’re wondering about wearing a chest protector of some kind, watch this… pay attention to what the driver’s body goes through.

Some of these are already over… and I don’t know if the others are close to you or your type of racing, but here’s a list of a few.

      Voted!

Your ckrc web site addy works, but the http://www.facebook.com/calgarykart… link doesn’t.

      Good luck to you!

I just read my email on that.  My condolences to his son Joe and all the family.

Norm was quite the character.  He could be a bit crusty and didn’t have a problem speaking his mind about what he thought was good/bad for karting.  He was good for the sport.

He was a good friend – he’ll be missed.
