Fuel tank vent…. sounds like you most likely have one suck line, and one return line with no vent or too small of a vent. That would cause this exact problem after a few laps. The less fuel in the tank, the more laps before it happens.

Freddy,
IM is all TM.
Swede I highly doubt would have anything I need new sitting on the shelf. They have been clearing off the shelves for sometime and its been “sometime” since these motors have been around.
Fastech has nothing listed for them on their site, and knowing John, he wont have anything floating around on the shelves either.
I’m not new to karting or trying to find stuff like this. Its just aggravating when the old importer has nothing, the new importer hasn’t a clue what you’re talking about when you call them, nobody has any part numbers or anything of the sorts listed online. No other American dealers listed on the factory’s site. Nothing else found with hours of online searches and numerous phone calls to other businesses.
I guess maybe I’m trying to find someone that used to run these motors that has some parts laying around. Like I used to be big into the Yamaha YZ’s. Just because there isn’t many around anymore doesn’t mean I don’t have anything laying around still…
Thanks for the help though.

I’ve had issues with the Vertex piston denting in in the center and eventually breaking thru. I’ve also ripped a few pins out of them. I like the wiseco 793 piston. Quick break in, strong, and the dome will only start to dent in once the piston is well past its prime and change interval. It will work just fine with your 01.
Try and stay away from the other popular option which is the 2005 CR125 piston. Its just weak all around and you will have to tune back the timing way to much to get it to live.

Yea, driving with a sprag was by far the toughest thing to get used to for me. I like the peace of mind just in case of you know what, but whew, did that make braking that much tougher. Def think it would be faster without one.

What pilot and needle are you using? If you set the PWM to idle, you can easily cure the issues you are describing with minor changes.
Idle is around 20-24 clicks out, pilot 55-58, CCJ, CGJ, CGK needle P4 or P5.
