Bump, price drop to $325 for a quick sale until this Saturday 4/2 to help fund renovations. Taking off the market after that.

Rod, funny you should ask as I have been on the same mission for a while now. Custom painting is crazy expensive and then you add in the cost of the helmet itself. The painted helmets on ebay and craigslist are all junk or very odd.
I did however meet a guy at the track that went about getting a custom helmet by calling the paint shops and letting them know he was looking for a good buy. Turns out a shop just finished a helmet that the owner bailed on payment so he picked it up for a fraction of the cost. I have talked to a few shops and dropped my info in case one of these comes about, or even one that had a minor imperfection, we’ll see just have to be patient.

Thanks Tony, huge help. Took apart the starter and sure enough the lead to the brush was broken. Popped the new ones in, added some silicone and were good to go.

Thanks Ray, they have probably 5 hours total so they are worth keeping for while longer. The next round of bearings ill just let be and wipe down as you suggest.

Walt, any thoughts on the best tool to remove the shields besides a flat head screwdriver? Some dirt got caught in my axle bearings and they sound very gritty when turned by hand. They are fairly new so spending $90 for new bearings doesn’t make sense unless I can’t get in there.
