Aaron LaRoque is the farthest thing from a poor sport.  The Claiming rule is the best thing ever, it would of saved Rotax if they implemented it 4 years ago.
+1 for Mike’s comment
simple,  I used to be a Rotax cheerleader helped recruit new dads at track, then when I finally saw what Rotax was all about, super poor quality,  constant updates, restricting a 125 to race micro and mini and jr doesn’t work, when you can buy 10 cylinders and 10 ignitions etc to make it go faster.  This has been the biggest parts racing series ever.  Thats why all the big money folks have gravitated to it, they can afford to spend what ever to develop a super fast engine in the restricted classes so their driver has a advantage, where most of the dads can’t.  I know and have raced with dads spending over $10k $15k $50k for motors.  its retarded.  Rotax never made a claiming rule back 3-4 years ago when all the dads where crying for it and guess what? They all bailed.  everyone is racing IAME and Rok now.  The people running Rotax where told 100’s of times all the issues and never did anything because they where making so much money selling parts they didn’t want it to stop.

This is a I told you so post.

just some of the fun things I’ve seen over the past couple months–

      1. bad connections

      2. motors not running out of timing. (you have to put 2 gaskets behind LOWER TIMING magnet to make your upgrade work… but only on some motors! I own one.   WOW THATS LEGAL! of course officials allow it.)

      3. no upgrade kits available.

      4. connectors breaking.

      5. OLD PIPES? NEW PIPES? NEW PIPES W/ OLD BAFFLES? new pipes w/ new baffles = a $$$$$ dyno time

      6. wire harness caught on fire also

      7. officials doing away w/ a bunch of rotax max rules to handle all the issues w/ these POS EVO kits.

      8. rotax series w/ world tickets running non evo and evo together w/ both being scored separate. So you could be 5th but the first non evo and be 1st in points after round 1.

This would be a good time for mini rok importer and iame west/east. to do some kind of deal to kill rotax .   I for one am sick of rotax but stuck racing it because the only other option in my area is 4 stroke.  The engines are all over the map in performance.  Micro and Mini max class has turned into a dads checkbook racing class whom ever kid gets the #1 rental usual wins… yes I said rental because unless you got lucky or spent $20k to find a good barrel etc for these classes your renting at $1500 a weekend to compete. ITS A JOKE.

I have 2 drivers and have already raced and practiced(flying and paying tent fees) 3 Skusa races with 2-3x more drivers in class  and have saved over $9k by not racing rotax. Not once did we get beat by a faster motor. The Iame package so far has been solid in cadet and x30.

Since Mr Boisclair   Told me my information that came directly from a actual Rotax employee in Europe was wrong,  I went ahead and retracted my original post.

      1. I was wrong about a new cylinder coming out.

      2.  bottom ends prior to evo bottom ends will not be banned for next year.

Everyone should continue to go out and buy all kinds of rotax stuff!!  I apologize for posting wrong information.

Hey Jesus are my X30’s in yet?
