I know very little about tag engines but, from what you said about the bore size you either measured wrong or you don’t have a leopard. If the measurement was correct then I think you have a Iame jaguar. I know the two engines are very similar but I don’t know exactly what parts cross over.

I’ve had a couple karts with the ven05 system ( iron and ceramic ) and have never had either crack. I was getting about a half season out of the red pads ( iron ) and the wear with the green pads ( ceramic ) is very minimal. I have no experience with the Frixa products but don’t really see them used a lot.

+1 to what troy said. Have had the Triple T mount on every kart I’ve had from WF to Kpv. Best on the market IMO.

The class was World Formula and I’d say the track is on the twisty side.

One of the individual’s has won several track championship’s and even had some good runs in the stars series back in the day on other chassis. I believe his complaints were that the chassis was just to soft. Also this was the 32/50mm chassis.

I’ve seen a couple people at our local club run them with no real success. For $2700 you could pretty much have your pick of any brand chassis with probably 5 or less races on it. In my opinion that’s a better route.

I have no clue on the angle. Just go 9 inches from top of axle to top of seat. 23 inches from front of seat to front of frame and 2cm below the frame rails. This should get you started and you can fine tune from there.

The measurement your looking for is 9 inches.

Gif, I believe what your seeing for $55 is just different color padding and not the actual brace itself.

I personally would have my builder take a look at it before running the engine. At the very least I would pull the head and check the condition of the cylinder.

Rod,
I haven’t seen to many custom helmets that aren’t personalized in some way. I don’t know about you but I wouldn’t wanna wear something with someone else’s name on it. If I were you I would save my money until I could afford something I really wanted.

Nick,
It sounds like you are about the same size as me so the recommended position should work just fine for you. I have owned a few Crg karts and have never had to move the seat out of the recommended position. Because you are a smaller guy my opinion would be to mount your weights a little higher on the seat so it will transfer the weight better.
Hope this helps.

Nick,
Assuming every on your kart is straight the Crg recommended position will get you very close. 23cm from the top rear edge of the seat to the top of the axle. 58cm from the front of the seat to the front of the front frame rail and 2cm below the frame rails for height. I’ve anyways been very close on weight distribution starting with these #’s.

I have no idea if it’s skusa legal or not. I don’t see any reason why it wouldn’t be legal, but I’ll leave the rule book reading to you on that one. As far as it being worth the $$$ that would really depend on what your trying to accomplish with it.
