Thanks Paul, I totally got blindsided by the season starting, I’ve been on the road for the last couple of weeks and dealing with a lot of work and personal issues that distracted me. Sorry to everyone that plays on EKarting, but I’m just not going to be able to do this again this year with working 6 days a week.

Huh, …….I thought I did this already, I must have not enter the final points right and it never got published.
Heck I thought I logged in a few minutes ago and screwed that up, so anyway, yes Jim you win, I picked poorly and got passed by Dizzy for 4th, heck I got beat by guys who only pick 2-3 times all year.
Congrats to Hir and the honorable Lord Derring (I been watching a lot of Game of Thrones lately on On Demand) for top points at Abu, they each gained 92 points, but in completely different ways.
Final 2014 Podium Picker Standings
1-J Derrig 1143
2-Hir 1118
3-JD Gomez 1053
4-G Dzielinski 1025
5-G Nelson 998
6-L Andrews 962
7- K McHale 899
8-F Brun-Wibuax 671
9-J Martin 60810- R Jones 196
So next year they already have more changes to the F1 rules, no dumb double points final, power unit penalties are broken down into smaller parts replaced and lesser penalties. Still the most needlessly expensive spec series, but it’s what we got. Hey weird to see Vettel in a Ferrari red uniform. Lets see if Honda can accomplish anything this year, or is this huge mistake by McLaren?
Stay tuned

Brasil: Time for some drama so it’s not just a runaway for Hammy.
As usual for Q, but time for Hamilton’s bad luck to return and make things a little more interesting- DNF? Bad pit late? Get picked off by a backmarker? Massa’s last hurrah?

Might change my mind by then, but here goes!
Q Ham, Massa, Rosberg
R Bottas, Riccardo, Alonso
I do think Hammy will take Rosberg and Massa out at the start and Vettel will be close to or at the front but will succumb to Bottas and follow orders and let Riccardo go, but Vettel’s car will fail him again, letting Alonso onto the podium for a small Ferrari victory that will still disappoint he home crowd. -

Bam!!! Kimi out with an injury. Shades of last year bailing early on Lotus or legit? With Ferrari having difficulties this year, will this stir the pot? what if the team improves? What does everyone thing about the 18″ wheels that are being tested? so far just on the Lotus test car and with the normal brakes that fit in the 13″ rims, what could the lower profile tire, larger brakes mean to racing? Other than the 10″ fronts on Tyrrell’s P34, it’s been 13″ since the early 70″s (not sure if they 60’s cars had them, but the older 50’s and older wire wheel cars had to be bigger than 13″, right?) I kinda like the 13″, but wish they would change to the profiles and stance of the 70’s, back then, they almost looked like shifter karts now, smaller diameter, medium wide fronts and big fat rears, stretched out to at all four corners. And bring back a choice between sports car noses or single element front wings. All the layers of crap, flaps and barge boards, yeech! I can deal with gills, fins and vents, even wings, but there’s too much crap tacked on on these cars.

Dude, thanks for starting it off this race, been swamped, nice title and comment Juan David. Personally, I like Monster, white can zero carb. It was great to see the MB total domination halted at Canada and you have to wonder when Vettel will get off the snide. Early picks are, Qualifying: Rosburg, Ham, Ric and Race is Ham, Vettel, Alonso. Gotta wonder what’s going on at Red Bull, Riccardo finishes well most of the time, Vettel, not so much, anything that can go wrong, does, but yet is in fifth place, 80 points behind Rosburg, who has proven he’s the tortoise/hare hybrid. With 12 races and 300 points left, can Vettel start finishing on top and average 6 1/2 points per race more than Nico? Does Red Bull start team orders in favor of Riccardo with only 19 more points? I wouldn’t say no, but for either one, but unless something changes now, it’s a two horse, oops, Bull race and with Hammy’s rep, Nico is my favorite for the title.
