Comet kart sales has updated me. They do not have the ven04 caliper bracket in stock and is no longer made. I guess i’ll keep searching. Also did find someone selling 3 newer frames made for all the parts i acquired. Seller is on vacation and will find out final prices later on. Maybe just end up having to update my chassis sooner than i expected.

After asking a million people about their ven04 caliper mounting hole spacing i been told its 80mm which the ven05 is as well if im not mistaken. I ordered the ven04 caliper bracket made for 3 hole cassettes…. I will report back once it arrives and let everyone know if things will bolt up. Granted i still need the ven04 cassette spacer but wont order that until the know the bracket is correct.

The KT100 does not need a lot of clutch maintenance, a quality horseman clutch with proper adjustment will do wonders for most the season. Even blue printed the engine can last a season without issue. I do not have experience with the iame KA100 but the kt100 is one of the most reliable air cooled 2 cycle engines on the market. There is good reason they been on the market longer than most engines. I personally feel they have been one of the more bullet proof 2 cycle engines ever made. The market is completely dead for them in the north east region of the U.S but they are great engines.

As a kid i raced hard but CLEAN 100% and it was only the other competitor/s who played dirty, I honestly NEVER forced a pass as desperate as i wanted to be. It’s funny thinking about it i’ve duked it out all season and it came down to the last race, last lap, second to last turn that i pulled off a brilliant clean pass to the win the club championship in 01? I guess that was my patience paying off. Granted we stopped and i havent been around for the evolving scene in karting for well over a decade i still can appreciate the article. As i have slowly worked my way back into the scene im very curious how the other will play with me once i move through the field.

Pretty surprised nobody has provided thoughts and feedback on such an understandable article….

I have a genuine 40mm x 1040mm medium crg axle. It is however slightly out of true. I been keeping it as a good spare but about to go to a 50mm assembly so i wouldnt need it. If you are interested feel free to call or text 631-346-2562.

My local track only allows us to run VP98L and Motul 2 cycle oil, make sure you are allowed to run different fuels and id just stick to what ever the others are running.
