      I know there’s risk in getting this chassis. But I’m just starting out and testing the waters.. I need something cheap, and this is the best deal I think I’m going to find. And worst case scenario if something goes wrong with it, and I really can’t find any solution, hey it was a $500 chassis. And at that point I’ll know if I want to keep karting or not and choose to invest in something with more support.

      I would definitely want to buy both of them, but on my budget I think 1 is all I can do. Thanks for the info. Still waiting for the reply..

      I’m definitely going to go for it, can’t beat that price.. On a tight budget. The guy still hasn’t got back to me. I think he has 2 for sale.

      Hmm.. Good points, so no parts are really interchangeable from different manufacturers chassis?

      Any recommendations for an affordable one? Looking to spend under $1k. This Corsair chassis is still really tempting though..

      Alright guys so now that I know what I want, do you think getting that cheap chassis is a good idea? Or should I got for a more well know brand?

      Wow that’s so funny, I just moved to Port Washington from East Meadow a while back! And yeah I think I’m going to go ahead and go for that corsair and a KT100. I desperately want to start racing and want to be ready in time for the first races this season. I thought I would have to save up around $5k to start out but now everything seems to be falling into my budget. And I’ll definitely contact you if I have any questions, thanks a lot.

      Gig, thank you for the info, I was going to call ETown and ask what classes race there.. But now I know! Do you know if the same goes for Millville NJ? And if you know, how much should a new KT-100 run me? I saw around $700-1000.

      I figured that might be the case, but I was feeling a little cocky. The only karts I’ve ever driven are those pole position electric karts. Thanks a lot for those links, really helpful! And I found this eBay listing for a LO206, http://m.ebay.com/itm/Briggs-LO206-Racing-engine-Local-Option-L0206-Animal-/400279557914 is this the one you were talking about?

      Yes I am brand new to it, I really want to get into Motorsport and Karting seems it be the route to take. I do have a fairly small budget though, that’s why I considered the Corsair. Thanks a lot for the advice, have anymore tips for someone just starting out?

      And I live on long island so the closest tracks for me are in NJ (Englishtown and Millville) and I was thinking about buying a new Rotax 125 Max Evo and throwing it in a used chassis. Not sure if that’s a good idea or not.

      Guys, I’m not sure if I’m in the right thread for this question, but if anyone could give me some guidance here I’d be very thankful. So I’m really interested in karting and want to buy a kart, I found a “Corsair” chassis (used 2 or 3 times) with rims and tires for $500. I tried to find info on Corsair but found nothing. Anyone know anything about these chassis?
