I still have some stuff for sale. I just significantly dropped the prices on almost everything that still remains. Check the first post for updated pricing and availability.

Radiator is sold, but the carbon fiber radiator shroud / duct and cooling hoses are still for sale. Just updated everything in the original post.

Responded to Mark and marked wheels and hubs as sold. Also just added pics to the original post for a bunch of the remaining items.

More stuff sold, so I updated the original post and re-ordered the list so the sold stuff is at the bottom. I also dropped prices on a few things.

Chassis is gone. The T-2 axle may be going to the kart buyer soon, but it is still available for now.

The MyChron is now listed as an auction on eBay. It’s currently only at $202, so head over there now if you want it.

The auction closes Wednesday, Aug. 12.
Also, there’s a deal in the works for the CRG shifter roller. If you were thinking of reaching out to me about it, now’s the time.

Tires and carb kit are sold. Also, I don’t want to get into shipping one gear at a time, so gears are now only available as bundles. The original post has been updated accordingly.

Sniper V2 and Sparco kart cover are sold.
Also, I brought the price of the MyChron down.

I responded to all of you by PM.
A quick note to everyone though… I made sure to give fair prices here, so please don’t send low-ball offers. Most of this is stuff is like-new for 1/3 less money. The stuff that’s not like-new is priced accordingly. I don’t have a commercial shipping account, so no need to ask me what shipping will cost. Feel free to go to the UPS website and check for yourself — it’ll ship from 91604.

Honda hasn’t really pushed the CR250 platform. They wanted it because the tooling for the old cR125 engines is wearing out (it wasn’t designed to build engines for 15 straight years), but the big organizers didn’t like the idea.
Lots of people on here hate the idea of switching to 4-stroke. I think it’s a combination of basic fear of change (though everyone says it’s fear of over-revs) and vendors fearing the fact that it has the potential to be much more reliable and potentially puts them out of the tuning business. The over-rev issue can potentially be solved with a slipper clutch, but that does add more $ to the initial investment.
If it does ever happen, the new Yamaha 250 motor is the way to go, not the Honda motor. The Yamaha HP is roughly on par with a KZ motor plus the intake and exhaust are correctly positioned for a kart setup (unlike any of the Honda engines). As far as I can tell though, Yamaha doesn’t sell the engines by themselves.

I had a couple people lined up to buy the kart and thought it was a done deal, but both seem to have fallen through. It’s still for sale and still hasn’t been driven since March. I haven’t even broken in the top end. If it doesn’t sell before the August ProKart race at Adams, I’ll probably bring it out and run in that race.

Okay folks, dropping the price again. It hasn’t been driven since March and is still cherry. $8,600 now.

Just dropped the price again. Guys — this is seriously as close to a brand new kart as you can get without dropping way more money on a brand new kart. And it’s got everything top-of-the-line.

I updated the original post to reflect updated hours on the engine. I ran a race a couple weekends ago, so the total engine time went up slightly, but I did a top end refresh (new piston/ring/gaskets/etc) after the race.

I’m getting a few people pinging me via PM about splitting it up and selling either the roller or the engine package. I don’t want to end up with a bare chassis or bare engine sitting in my garage for a long time. So if I go that route, I’m going to need to coordinate the chassis and engine sales to happen at basically the same time.
I would be willing to break it up for the following prices:
Engine package for $3,600. This would include the MRC engine mount and all of the stuff bolted to the engine (the carb, SKUSA pipe/mount, silencer/mount, etc.) as well as the fuel pump and ignition system.
Rolling chassis (with the seat and Douglas wheels) for $5,600.
One more thing… I’m considering doing next weekend’s race at Willow Springs, so the engine time might go up by an hour or two if I don’t get any firm commitments in the next couple of days. If I do run the race at Willow Springs, I will refresh the top end after the race for the buyer (with a new piston, ring, cir clips, wrist pin, head gasket and base gasket).
