Hi Larry, not to change the subject but why is it there may not be any more superkart “spectator events” at Laguna again? What happened ?

T hill west is a great little track, smooth and fun, but not as fast or technical ( or as much pucker factor )as ORP . There is the pit wall coming off the last turn kinda like the Ridge but slower. The one place I went off ,there was a big ditch you had to jump to get back on the track. One of my fellow competitors told me the secret to this is to STAY ON THE F+++ING TRACK!! ( thanks Jim ) :)

Thia is a really clean kart with good parts and Gerry has done a great job with the carbon work. Someone needs to buy it before I have to!

Hi Jeff
I run Maxima 927 @24-1 seams to be good stuff. On your ignition question alot of us out west are running the ’01 stator and flywheel with Viper HPI box, and some have speed or vortex. If you go with the HPI get the pipe and head set up as well if you have the budget for it ( it ain’t cheap)but works together well.

I think it needs to happen in July or August not after school starts and for a true National race ,Miller would be the best to try and pull racers from the mid and southwest . Don’t know if you would get enough to offset the west coast guys that won’t go but it’s not a bad pull from most of the west coast (I know portland and north pretty long) reasonable track rental ( I think about $8ooo a day for the east or west loop) and I could bribe my wife with a trip to park city to let me go! :)

Hi Gerry, I don’t think any of the self contained starters will fit down into the seat far enough .I got my starter from TS racing, then a couple of heavy duty cables about 6′ long and good marine /RV batt and your set.

Wow great track! A little tight for a superkart but really fun. Thank you NCK as usual the day seamed to run like a well oil machine. Can’t wait to go back.

Any thoughts on what other track to gear this like? I was thinking a little taller then ORP

Gerry I’m looking at it the other way since I really only have time to race 3 or 4 times a year I figure I can afford to run the twin. But you and I are the only ones talking about this so probably a mute point !

Hi Gerry. It’s why I came back to karting but didn’t realize the class was dead. I thought there was a spark of interest and got me fired up . We will see.. ;)

I run the Red power pads ( soft)from Pierre Hung (?) and I’m not going as fast as you but they last really well .I would think you could get 2 races out of them.I have his contact info if you need it.

Good luck to everyone Fri. and Sunday (if your doing the double). Michael thank you for buying that kart now I don’t have to think about it any more! So maybe there is still a 250 twin pulse out west ?

Hi Justin,
I think the wheel base on all the superkarts are close to the same,it’s more about seat and pedal placement . It shouldn’t be to difficult to extend the porch if needed. There our a couple guys out west here that are over 6′ and don’t think they have done anything special.

Hi Ed, do you have your return line restricted down ? You probably had good air out there today, jetting for sea level just to lean maybe?

Hello, can someone give me the basic rules for unlimited ? I didn’t see a ICE class, do all superkarts run together ( twins , singles)?I couldn’t log into the kart website to see the rules. Thanks.
