So 9 pounds over = everybody add 25 more ?
I think no kart should carry more than 50 pounds. More than that requires some pretty creative ways to double stack lead blocks through 4″ long bolts. creating big levers on fiberglass seats.
I mount 2 lead bricks 10 pounds each to the back of the seat with required two bolts another brick to left side. a huge custom poured chunk under crotch of seat so that gets us to 40 pounds. and then squeeze little pucks were space allows. size 1 seat does not offer lots of area.
Kinda glad my son is heading to cars soon.

Most drivers are too light the way it is, WHY would we want to add another 25 pounds??
To slow them down? that won’t work but will increase braking distance. = Bad
LO206 I 100% think this is the answer. No more KT-100 unless it is 3hole can and the little carb
No WF unrestricted because I feel they are to fast. Micro max but not Mini MAX
So there it is. slow the kids down as going as fast as Super Stock raw time is too fast.

I AX’ed a Vortex RVS for a couple years. I imagine they are similar. 93 Octane 30:1 Blends-all FK-100. Warm it up and then shut down till called to start . Watch temps below 140 is good for best performance. Geared most local courses 14/26. Launch 11K and hang on. It was cool hooking and pulling the front wheels off the ground. Mostly low grip surface you just leave expensive MG green tire marks. :)

Thanks all. I figured there was something to it. Very interesting Robert.

No idea why a stock motor won’t sit and idle..
Here is how I did it alone. 4×4 under right rear frame tubes, 3rd gear wrap strap around tire. get dressed, 3 cars to go pull strap and it always fired no sweat. shift to neutral take off 4×4 and get in seat roll off to grid.
Obviously this after you have gotten the motor warm pre-grid on the stand.

Yea just go to Local hardware store and buy a long bolt in the thread dimension you need. If you want to put a bumper on it just get one of the thick nylon bushing / washers and heat the hex head melt on to washer. done.
Or buy whole new metric holder piece and bolt. should match up to your bearing carriers

LO 206 is a great idea as it is the motor of choice for lost of sprint racing.
However NO WAY will it keep up to any of the other motors currently allowed Mini Max , KT-100 . World Formula . Are we looking at slowing down Formula Junior?
Too much weight in my opinion. 225 lbs with LO206 for JB throttle slide.
Didn’t understand the comment about ICC. Was this in reference to allowing hopped up mod ICC?

Well yea that’s not good. 3 neg is probably too much. 0 might not be enough unless it changes with you in the seat at which time it is perfect @ -1 with driver.
Possibly you have a bent C or rhe hole is wallered out and you nee to fill weld and re-drill for the bottom pill.
Is this the same chassis you had in 2010?

1/4″ with no tight spots when lifted in between the drive and driven sprockets.

Yes that battery should work. hot lead to starter, switch from solenoid to ground. There is a detailed drawing in the WF owners manual found on Google and the Briggs Web site.

For batteries I always had a spare Rotax set up laying around. Works well but pricey to buy new. If you need to add lead anyway then keep all the self starting stuff. Having your youngin be able to re-start the motor after jumping a cone make them grumpy peeps in grid more happier..

Sounda like your clutch might be backwards. The Premier Titan will shudder a little bit as it getts to full lock up. but it will sudder like a MFer if backwards.

Having had an ICC for several years, Once I learned how to 1. drive it, 2 maintain it and ultimately learned that I can’t keep up to it. I traded my Vortex RVS for a Rotax Max.
Put that on the shifter chassis with front brakes and 365 pounds. Not fast off the line but once going I can probably keep up in the cones. Will I ever trophy @ NATS? Heck no that ship has sailed for me 20 years ago. Can I still have fun on big courses heck yea.
Craig if you are looking to include your Hopped up ICC because it is cheap and you have one puts you in a class of one. Just as I am with my rotax cone smasher. Don’t believe the top of the KM field is running old obsolete karts or only getting only 4 minutes of seat time per month.
As much as I despise Honda products I have to admit the rule set for KM Honda motors is a great package and makes more power than stock SKUSA Honda.

Well it sucks you are faced with this issue. But great on Briggs to have a fix for it and standing by to make it right.

Bill you would do well with an ICC. However you need to jump in Jason’s back pocket for the tricks to make SOLO with ICC livable.
I had an ICC Vortex RVS and it is a monster that was built by DDC. When taken to the limit of the SCCA and Homolugation rules it is going to be significant money. And as Jason said Get a whole package Air box to pipe and mount, drive gears. carb jets, needles, atomizers. motor mount. and don’t forget water pump and radiator. I paid 2500 for a turn key RVS which was hot in the day but these are 2004 vintage. and then had to put a top end in it.

Well I got to do my post race maintenance and looked at the pipe and plug. Fouled the plug and pipe was black. weather was changing quickly and I dig not keep up with it. Grid is far away from Paddock. You can’t leave grid and I didn’t have a Ninja to get me a leaner jet. So being pig rich was part of the slow launch. Weather needed a 165 when I gridded up, when I got back to the truck my station said 160 boarder 158
Autocross is a just for fun thing for me these days. Used to be so hooked on it with my shifter motor.

Just a follow up, I fabbed up a 2.5″ extension to mount on the brake side support. 1″ hex bar with drilled and tapped 8mm x 1.25 threads in each end. bottom bolted tight to the chassis side pipe mount. and Rotax rubber to the top between extension and pipe. I think it should work well. Every thing clears with plenty of room to move motor back and forth for gear changes.

You know I think I would like to get over to 103 rd st some time. Having the good fortune of racing at the NOLA track has some perks because they can do 19 different configurations so I never see the same track twice in a row. More like twice per season maybe.
However I think I would enjoy the low key atmosphere that Andy enjoys. Heck it’s only a 7 hour drive…………………….. one way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Make sure the motor mount is 2 two piece so you can infinately adjust the motor outboard to keep clutch away from the seat support bars. I used a Burris and it worked well.
The cadet chassis is pretty small and is the exact one I used so it is possible.
Chain length will be obviously determined by gear. I think we were running 58 rear mostly but have used 53 up to 63. fronts 15 to 19 It’s been awhile.

Getting the chance to go see the races in person was so dang cool. Really good racing at a great track . I vote world finals come to NOLA every year.

Everything Rotax is legal. Are you racing local stuff or RMAX series. Ask your track for a ruling.
