The Dave Clift 500 was a great day. Most of the day was just for practice and having fun. After practice a money race was held for 125’s and Superkarts as well as other karts. See below. A separate purse of $500 for the top 3 125’s and $500 for the overall 3 places in the first race. The morning sessions were wet as a persistent light rain kept the track wet. Just after lunch a dry line began to form and was completely dry (Mostly) by the time of the main races. Eric Johnson won the 125 race after Gene had fuel starvation issues, Eric also finished third overall behind myself in first and Tom Rice in 2nd. Here is video of Eric’s race. Sorry it is a bit shaky in places and fuzzy, camera mount was loose. I will be uploading my video of my race in a day or two. Pasted below the video is a list of the class of karts racing

Here is a video from the last NCK race at Laguna in summer 2014. Most of the footage is from Anthony Williams, #5 Superkart, but there are also some other classes shown racing at Laguna Seca. The first race of the year is at Laguna on 24 January, 2015. If you’ve never raced Laguna before, this video includes a detailed look at the track and some perspectives you may not have seen before. Hope to see everyone there.

I realized I made a mistake in the results screen at the end of the video and am currently revising the video and will re-post as soon as I can.
Sorry for the mistake.

Just a note on my video, it says the races are Thurs/Fri/Sat which is incorrect, it is actually Fri/Sat/Sun. Sorry for the mistake.

Also, NCK and I have set up a shared Google Drive so that racers or fans can send me footage for the race recap videos that I do for the west coast clubs. If you are interested, please PM me.
Thanks,

I have a GoPro, 2 Contour Roams and a Replay. I have run all of them at one time or another on my superkart. The one I most prefer is the Contour. The mounting system is a bit limited, but still works fine for me. I have placed them all over my kart and inside the body work as well, and the Contour has been great. I think the sound is a bit better with the GoPro, however, due to the other issues I have with the GoPro, I don’t use it any more. The Replay is a good camera as well, but picture quality for me is a bit less than the Contours. The 3 cameras are similar in most respects, however the shape and ease of use of the Contour makes it my first choice. At the start of a race, trying to fiddle with the turn on and start button with gloves on is a problem with the GoPro and Replay for me, but the Contour is a single slide switch which is quick and easy. The Contours seem to run a little less money as well. Everyone has their own ideas on the best camera, for me it’s currently the Contour. By the way, I have not had any issues with the Contours, they have worked fine for me.

John, absolutely I’m trying to get you out of retirement as much as trying to get as much interest in the season as possible. Is it working?

Larry, notice I conveniently left out the video where I ran into you at Portland. The perks of being the editor. Also, I edit better than I count, there are 11 race weekends, with 12 races. There is the back to back on Aug 1st and 3rd at Thunderhill and ORP.
Tony, thanks for the comments. Still has some flaws in it, but after 10 days of working on it, figured I’d better get it on line to promote the new season.
