Thanks for the quick response – this is what I expected but my tech warned me so I figured I would ask. I had another similar thread where we discussed chains and based on feedback I don’t see why I wouldn’t use one. Thanks again. More feedback is welcome, especially if there are concerns :)

Thanks again for the quick response. I hate parting with $50 when $20 might work, but in this case I like the idea of having it work whenever I need it. As for chains, my take is a good $25/$30 of any brand will work.

I run a shifter and had a similar question.  I called up the AIM folks and they told me just grab a 9.6V RC battery.  Here is what I purchased from Amazon for $16 bucks:

I bought a charger as well.  I mounted it right in front of my gas tank, and I charge it in place.
