RR make good axles, they are not more likely to bend than any other brand of axle. Axles bend because they are pretty thin wall steel and large diameter. Just like William said the handling of your kart is pretty important and the best way to keep your axle from bending is to not hit anything.

Bryan, brakes are very important to lap times. These brakes will lower your lap times. Total price with the hub and mounting bracket is $725.18. How much would you pay your motor builder to make your motor faster?

Tom, the first thing you need to do is measure his head and if you can try a helmet on. We sell quite a few helmets at Acceleration Kart Racing and most 12yr olds fit into an adult helmet. Make sure the helmet you buy is Snell 2010 or 2015 approved and some organizations require an FIA CMR rating. There is also an ECE rating that I think applies to motorcycle helmets. Yes, the shifter karts with ven 04 brakes were done that way. On master cylinder for both front brakes and one for the rear caliper.

It is a pretty simple fix, but you do need to split the cases. Any Rotax Service Center should be able to do it and tell you how much it will cost before you ship your motor to them. Sounds like L.A.D. is close to you and that can save you money and time.

The beads can get torn up mounting and dismounting tires. If I have one with a bead that is leaking I will debead the tire and rub a little rtv sealant around the bead. It has always worked for me.

I question the weights on the racing helmet guide. I just weighed an Arai SK-6 at 3.40 lbs. and a Bell M4 at 3.30 lbs. Helmet weights vary from helmet to helmet. The Bell M4 is a good light SA rated helmet without a chin spoiler for under 400. The quality on Arai helmets is impressive.

At Acceleration we sell both OEM and aftermarket brake pads. The aftermarket and the OEM seem to be similar quality, but sometimes there is a difference in the compound. Make sure that you use the correct brake pads for rotors that aren’t steel, or you will ruin your rotors and pads.
