Their was not a supply issue. SKUSA and MG asked racers to pre order rain tires if they wanted them for the event. Some did pre order tires others did not. Mg can then look at those that did not pre order as already having a source for tires or did not want them. No need to supply something that is not wanted or needed. The communication between drivers, SKUSA, and MG worked just fine. The problem comes from the drivers not wanting the tires.

If you expect promoters and suppliers to have tires on hand for those not prepared you better also expect a large increase in entry fees to pay for those tires.

I had the external can of my starter motor crack and it was barely holding on. You could move the whole can up and down over a half inch just one small piece is all that was keeping it from falling off completly. The starter still worked and had no problems starting the engine. Replaced it with the can(has the magnets in it) off another older starter and everything is working great. I have yet to see a Rotax driver use an external starter.

To late for that. It is easy to see in how frequently people post here that participation on this new forum is down.

If you want to learn to drive get a tag. Most shifter drivers I have talked to that started in a shifter agree they would have become a better driver faster if they would have started in a tag kart.

Also if you just want to get out and run laps look at the Rotax. Fuels savings alone will add up quick. I can run all day for just $12 in gas. Being able to run pump fuel and a lower oil ratio then other engines makes it very easy to go out and run lap after lap. Not to mention the longer times between rebuilds.

NASCAR is the WWE of auto racing. There is no debating this. Anyone that thinks NASCAR does not manipulate things to get certain results or action on the track is wearing blinders.

Everyone is to busy with the race to worry about a show. The manpower to run a booth at a show and participate in a race like supernats is not feasible for karting teams and companies.

Once again my DVR recorded the race off NBC Sports no problem. It was completely done recording by the time I woke up today 10am mountain time.

I wait until I get to 120 to run it hard. My Mychron goes off at 155, by the time I really notice it it is closer to 160. Even when running in over 100 degree heat the hottest I let my engine get was mid to low 160s. Still never had to stop before finishing a heat race.

I am not sure the exact room under the shelf. You can stack a front and rear tire on top of each other under the plywood. I want to make just two shelves out of metal on the sides of the bed that extend out enough for the wheels of the kart to sit on. Then eliminate anything going across the bed in the middle. Right now this works great since the only thing I have to do to the kart to load it is remove the front nose cone. Wheels, hubs, rear bumper all stay exactly how they come off the track and that is with me running maximum legal width in the back.

I have a GMC Canyon. Just built a shelf using the supports a truck bed has to hold 2x4s for just this type of thing. Kart and gas can go on the shelf and everything else goes underneath. Plenty of room underneath for tires, part, tool boxes, ez-up etc. I typically have two tool boxes, three sets of tires, 10’x10′ ez-up, nose cone(has to come off for kart to fit in bed), chair, and bead breaker with some room to spare. The kart stand goes in the cab behind the seat. Traveling with my dog and camping gear i have yet to feel like I was short on space to carry what I needed.

I have to agree I enjoyed watching the race. Great seeing a race with some good close racing and very few cautions. Would be cool to see the nationwide cars race there next year. Also if they could figure out a way to configure pits so they could do green flag pit stops it would really make for a good race.

My DVR timer that records all of the F1 races that I setup at the start of the season recorded it no problem off NBC Sports. It was ready to go when I finally got out of bed to watch it at 10:30 this morning. I believe a replay is on NBC Sports right now also. The only problems I have had this season are the two live races on CNBC my DVR did not record because it said the event had already been recorded. It did record the very first full rebroadcast that was on NBC Sports.

Karting comes up a lot in conversation, racing in various forms is a major topic of discussion with friends. We all race something.

Always willing to help and have tried to get others to come to the track with me.

Other things I do is make sure every day I am at the track I post at least one picture trying to catch the vibe at the track on facebook tagging the track I am at, the race organization, and other things in the picture. This has exposed it to many people and I now have others asking me about karting. Need to also get a instagram account going.

Local non-karting forums I post when some larger regional races in the area are coming up.
