Chris is correct, CRG has decided to open a warehouse in the U.S. which means they will not need an importer. Same concept as Tony Kart.

CRG USA will be making an official announcement soon of our plans for the future.

Good luck to the CRG drivers that are participating, we will be cheering for you!. we have a terrific group of drivers that have elected to do the U.S. Open this year with over 25 drivers under our tent in Dallas.

I would like to clarify a few things. On Saturday when she got into his rear bumper in the exact same location it is ok for Ilavia to try and protest her even though she did not gain a position? However on Sunday when he does the exact same thing and takes over the lead dropping her back 2 seconds that is not ok? The rules clearly state that if contact is made and the driver gains a position there will be a penalty which he did. I guarantee if the roles were reversed and she punted him and won they would have protested instantly by their actions Saturday especially when it was only for one point not the championship.  the officials made the right call and defended the rule book it has nothing to do with who the drivers are or what chassis they are on. When the official came over on Saturday they made it clear that if she would have made contact and gained a position she would have penalized.

This is not about creating more events so the teams/vendors can make more money in fact it is just the opposite. Costs have gone thru the roof and the only thing the teams can do is pass that on to the end user which of course is the customer. The new series is offering travel incentives to the teams that bring  the drivers which we can then pass that savings onto the customers. Currently the prices continue to rise and revenue streams keep disappearing.  Tires can now be bought directly from any MG dealer ($25 cheaper) for the Shifter crowd and the Rotax crowd can continue to get tires from their regular supplier.  This is a win win for everyone, if we continue down the path we are traveling no one including the teams/shops etc are going to be able to afford to race.

Tim is correct this was not a promoter jumping at an opportunity to copy or steal the business model of someone else.

There were several Teams that have not been happy with the current situation for quite some time now and were so frustrated that they considered starting their own series. However the logical choice was to find someone already in the business who had the ability and infrastructure to promote a first class series, that is when Maxspeed was approached.

They were asked about including Stock Moto in their program and promote a True National series. They are promoting this new series out of encouragement and support from many Teams, shops and drivers in the industry. SKUSA has done a terrific job in years past but many felt they have lost sight of who their customers are and feel they have taken away every revenue stream possible from dealers and importers.

Watch for Fore’ to possibly do the entire Pro Tour this year. There are some fast Americans out there Joey Wimsett is ready to defend is title and will be tough to beat. Look out for the young guns, several great driver!

K1 is one of our Team Sponsors however Richard has gone over and beyond to get the quality and service as good as anyone. Our new suits  have been terrific and our drivers have been very happy. Several have gone 2 seasons now on the same suit and the coolmax liner is awesome!

We were one of the lucky Teams, all of our drivers had rain tires but it was very stressful there for awhile juggling things around to make sure everyone was covered. We had people offer a few of our drivers $2,000 for their set. We had more overnighted and sold them for $212 plus freight. As Jimmy said we all tried to help anyone we could by giving away used sets to drivers that were in desperate need.

Both as a promoter and a Team owner it is a no win situation, if you order enough rains for all your drivers then it doesn’t rain you are stuck with them usually for the year but if you don’t have them then it is a nightmare.

We are so lucky to have such a great group of people under our tent that anyone of them were willing to help the other out in a second.

Hi Alan,

No changes at all. You can run either the RLV R4 pipe or the SKUSA pipe. Only difference is they run the MG Yellow which is the same as the SKUSA White. Sounds like it could a good group of shifter pilots. We will bring a good group in both classes.

Stock Honda is very big in Colorado with some of the best drivers in the country here. The problem we have is none of them show up to race the local or regional races. Here at our facility Grand Junction Motor Speedway we will have 10-15 shifters at a club race. We are working on a new regional series with Miller to try and rekindle the Colorado Utah rivalry as they have an incredible group of shifter pilots also.
