I’m in Pittsburgh. Not looking for a chassis, looking for an engine. Pipes, carbs, ignition, and engine. Useable shape preferred, it doesn’t need to be ready for the championships though. Maybe the cooling system depending on the details. No need for the chassis.

The series is a little misleading. One on hand they say that he isn’t doing it the easy way and he isn’t buying his way up. On the other hand the ignore that he’s never been fast, and that all he can consistently do is use up spare parts competently. I’ve seen him on track for years now, he’s had a few decent runs, but nothing amazing. If there is one thing that Pat is doing right it’s that he is surrounding himself with a fair amount of talent. That alone will likely be good for his future as a driver.

As for the show, the production quality is really good. It’s not Truth in 24 good, but it is good. I love that it covers sports car racing and that it makes it sexy again. It puts the James Dean on sports cars, and that is amazing. My girlfriend, who initially wanted nothing to do with it, even found it mildly interesting. To be fair, she does like Top Gear, but also probably finds Pat sexy.

The Kosmic is not a shifter chassis.

You should be combining data. The driver needs to say conclusively what the kart is behaving like, then you need to correlate that experience to the tire temp data. You then make a change, test again,  record new data, and evaluate how that change affected the data.

For example, it cannot be conclusively said that the kart was oversteering or understeering simply by saying the rears were higher than the fronts. If your front tires never reached optimum temperature you could experience an understeer as the tire would not properly adher to the surface. Conversely, your situation could be as TJ described. The front tires reached optimum temperature but the rears were overworked as a result of an oversteer and actually went beyond optimum temperature.

In a full size car where you often go well out of site of your crew a radio is a great aid. In a kart it is unnecessary.
