one of my brushes was actually cracked and chipped around the edge, which incidentally is also the one with the broken lead. There was caulk in there from before, however.

I hadn’t thought about the armature but the lead/copper brushes aren’t going to be much harder than the carbon copper ones in there already. The only downside I can think of is that the current ones are a bit self-lubricating whereas the copper and lead mix will not be.

      sorry for the late replies

Yes, I’ll get in touch with you Mr. Gifford cause this is actually something I was looking for!

Thanks Mr. Slattery, I’ll look into those cause I had a hard time finding them as RLV mags!

      agreed with Jim

I actually emailed Tony Kart a couple months back and they told me they don’t make a set up guide but the Kosmic one is good. I got both the Arrow and Kosmic ones

Tony Kart of Australia has some great set up sheets though, worth a look

what kind of kart would help!

also, keep in mind general suspension alignment will have effect on the amount of turning

i fit mine in the back of 91 camry

      08 tk krypton shifter chassis

its not fun, and i need an extra pair of hands, but it gets me by

FWIW, i am looking for a bigger car since it isn’t convenient when karting alone…

why not look at utility vans? cheap and lots of room

not sure about a transponder, but when I’ve flown with electronics, they’ve always asked me to turn it on. perhaps to show it’s not a laptop/camcorder shell loaded with explosives

I’d keep a charge on it, at least to show it works. manual, or a website on your phone ready to show them should suffice

      hmm, thats an interesting idea

i mean, my only real reason for wanting a egt is so I know if i’m leaning out too much, which is mostly why I want to be stingy about this whole ordeal

ok cool, just wanted to confirm my suspicions

i got the kart second hand, and the bumper has been modified for whatever reason unknown to me, but there is a weld near one of the ‘posts’, or uprights that connects the hoop to the mount. it was probably shortened, from the looks of it

would it be worth trying to fix, or should i just get a new one? I don’t plan on running plastic FWIW

      woah! so many replies

Okay cool, I got the homologation and class issues down, and trust me, I’ve read all those sites a plethora of times!

I’ve visited VKP, and though they did seem helpful, I also felt very guilty taking their time up as the shop seemed to have only about 2 workers on hand that day. Answering some knucklehead’s questions is probably something they don’t enjoy doing, and for that, I really appreciate everyone’s help on here.

Regarding the WKA tech/membership, would it be best to get one this year or wait it out, as the season is almost over, and get it next year so as to maximize the amount of time on-season that I am a member? This seems more important with the tech manual, in case they update anything between 2013-2014 that I would otherwise miss, having a season old manual?

I’ll either be going to Norway or Dousman, only cause I hear Norway’s TaG classes are very small

VKP had no idea of SQ and didnt have any TaG packages other than Rotax, but I don’t want to get a Rotax just yet

Ill call LAD, as well as Franklin.

Thanks for that information Kyle, I’ll for sure give them a call tomorrow
