I think that is a great idea if you have to already add weight to the kart. I would imagine you would have to run a battery to power the EWP. I run the Davis Craig on my SCCA race car and love it. No need for a thermostat, the controller takes care of all that. I have mine controlled via the ECU and it’s speed is controlled by RPM and temperature. The DC controller basically does all the hard work and keeps the engine cool. I will have to do my homework on that since I have 35+ # of lead on the kart to make weight.

I found this on the SRS web site that says something about height of pump assy. maybe this will rule some things out.

I have a couple of spares if you want to try, I would say shipping would be less than 10 bucks. you could rule out the pump rebuild and know if it is working correctly.

Also I have a pump around system. If I let someone else drive the kart and it stalls I have to change the plug due to them lugging the kart around at lower RPM’s and then if they spin they tend to floor it with out pulling the clutch in.  I can usually tell if it is flooded because when you push start it the engine sounds just like you have the throttle wide open while pushing.  BAAAAA deep sounding.

I found that out the hard way, I adjusted the throttle to much “open” and about never got the kart started again.

Thanks for the info Jason.  I will study up on Axles and might take you up on that deal.  I recently just finished the season here in TN and after softening up the kart I dropped my times by .6 sec on average.  I went to 130mm hubs ( had some  already) I also widened the track all around. I took the rear out about 1 inch and the front a 1/2″ . I was not brave enough to remove the rear bar jut yet. I will do some testing on that.

I was able to stay on my competitions bumper the entire 15 lap race to pull off second and third in point for the season overall. . I just could not find a safe place to pass. freeing  up the kart did wonders for the sweepers.

Now I just need to work on my engine so I can keep up with those ICC’s. we all have to weight 400#’s and my little cr125 has a hard time keeping up. :(
